Maybe, but I am not sure that applies. I will check, though.
Yes it would be through DRMO directly. The Non-Profit would apply to be eligible to reuse governmental property, once approved the item in question is usually free if it is going to a college/university type of non-profit. Your state Treasury Dept may also have information on your states program as well.

I must say that I have been blown away with the generosity, fellowship and good intent from this Forum. There are many possibilities at this point. The first thing I need to chase down is whether indeed they are entitled to free surplus directly from our Uncle. They might well qualify, but I need to talk to them as obviously only they know their exact status. Per my PMs, I will keep everyone apprised. Furthermore, I do not expect anyone to hold up their own plans on my account while I figure this all out. Fair is fair.

Thank you all for your support so far on this. I am deeply grateful. John

I HAVE A m35a2 WITH WINCH SITTING AT A FELLOW SS MEMBERS HOME IN CHEYENNE.

JIM RECOVERED IT FOR ME 6 MONTHS AGO AND I HAVE BEEN TO BUSY TO GO DRIVE IT BACK TO MICHIGAN.

OOPS had the cap lock on. To lazy to rewrite.

The Truck needs a passenger side mirror mount and mirror, a drivers side seat belt. Everything else check's out.

Jim says its a "Strong Runner" Is this what your looking for..?
UPDATE: BREAD TRUCK in Colorado just bought the Deuce.

Wow, he got a good deal. Was just corresponding that I probably should go ahead with yours anyway. NP, fair is fair. I am still working through the various issues with the not-for-profit.

There is a member here that works for the police, he has made several recovery's for free and he is setting up the firehouses with back up power and survival items free from GL. I am having a brain fart as to who he is. If you ask around or start a thread you will find him, or if I remember I will let you know to get the proper paperwork. Good luck.

Update: the non-profit decided that they are not ready for a Deuce. The entire thing is on hold for the foreseeable future. What a shame, but I am sure that in a year or so they will reconsider. Thanks to everyone who offered vehicles or help. I'll let you all know should the situation change.
