A Saturday and Sunday some time within the next 3 or 4 weeks, date to be set when we have good weather forecast, since it will be an outdoor affair.
This was briefly discussed in the chat room several weeks ago and first suggested by Cabell.
I can accommodate six or so people, even overnight if you don't mind roughing it, like in bringing your own cot.
This will include 8x8 off-road and on road driving and helping with the torque rod removal (of all things), since I have had a bit of a problem with that.
Food and drink will be available, to include hamburgers and beer, fish sticks and french fries, pancakes for breakfast/lunch...lots of coffee.
I'll try to answer any questions you may have on the 8x8, got APB and Army videos of the truck and how it was used in the Pershing 1A program.

Let me know what you think.

(Please, don't think about bringing any dogs, since we have eight free ranging chickens and a cat here.)

:) You don't have to bring one, that's the point, very few around, so, since I haven't been active attending any rallies, this would be the second best option to show it off and let others drive it.
Come in your civy car, there is plenty of parking and if you'd prefer to bring your MV, that's fine too and drive it off road here. My zip is 24120, about 400 miles from MD....

Woohoo!!
I'm in (of course), and will bring up the tools from work that we talked about in the chat room that may help in getting that torque rod loose...
I'll also bring up some adhesive for you. :)

Great Cabell! Yeah, there are ten more torque rods to knock loose (I'll work on getting them completely worked over at some later time).
I'd like to get the winch checked out as well, since that may take more than one or two people.
We have trails on some 40 acres available, although not all wide enough for the 8x8, but there will be a couple of interesting spots. :)

I'll be checking the weather reports now....

PS. I did get the silicone rubber gaskets glued using JB Weld, but a primer for silicone may come in handy later, thanks.
