Does SS have a cross reference of serial numbers to year of mfg, M-817?

I believe your truck is a 1971. I have an M817 manufactured in 1971 and there is a "71" in the VIN, too. By the way, the third digit is probably a letter. Mine is something like "04C."

I'll recheck the data plate on the dash tomorrow, checked GL's invoice, they listed it as
05C-00371-C133-10c72
Is the serial number stamped anywhere else?

The VIN is C133-10?72 - the question mark should be another number - and the zero you posted earlier would fit. The Army Registration number is 05C-00371. The VIN is also embossed in the left frame rail near the front wheel. The truck was built in 1971.
