The "D" turbo makes more power than the "C" whistler turbo correct?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Outstanding answer. Couldnt have said it better. The D can flow more air.
The fuel is the same from the same pump with the same settings...
So no, the D does not make any more power on a given engine.
Both the C and the D outflow the engine.
You are going to need to use the search function, this turbo question is asked by 75% of the new guys, and repeating responses tends to annoy some of the old timers. Training manuals are your friends. If you have a question and didn't find the answer in the manual, tell us which one you looked in and we can happily point you to the correct information, complete with tables and pictures. These guys are very friendly and open with new folks... but you must at least attempt to help yourself first.
Cheers!
I added a "C" turbo to an LD motor. Other than the deafening screetch, I really don't notice a big difference in power.
I'm sure the lack of hearing protection is why you can't hear the screetch/whistle/scream (or whatever you want to call it)What screetch?
I can't hear any screetch.
And never needed wussy stupid ear protection either!
Amen to that!!But the "whistler" just sounds cooler.
What did you say.........can't hear you........I tried to use min e when I recovered my deuce, but I kept creeping the RPM's up so took em back off. Got a muffler to put on next week. What screetch?
I can't hear any screetch.
And never needed wussy stupid ear protection either!
Do whistlers whistle from the intake or the exhaust side of the unit?
Also, Doghead may be on to something because I had a Merd C painted Deuce before and although it was rusty, it pulled better than any Deuce I've ever driven and put out almost no black smoke doing it. It would also run about 62 mph on 9.00's at about 2900 rpm all day long.
