How deep can a LMTV go...

What's the problem, in 1942 the military had a solution for wet roads.

Hardest part is always convincing yourself that it's just fine to keep on driving down the ramp.

I do think that the LMTV can be made whole again. GPA / DUKW axles and hubs always need to be flushed and re-lubed after each season, no reason can't do the same with the modern stuff. Engine and electronics would seem to be the main concerns, but fresh water will take the edge off the job.

How well it survived probably has a lot to do with how much water got into cab electronics and Tranny Computer. (and engine computer if A1)

While salt worse is worse virtually all the problems occur with any water intrusion (yes, fresh too).

The water is sucked up into the wire and rinsing it off the outside does not help. That's one reason (the main reason) to avoid flood vehicles. Period.

When I was in claims any flood that reached the dash was a total loss no matter what. It wasn't worth the years of people coming back years later with electrical issues.
