yup, M1028 will have the same overloads GM otherwise only put on dual wheel trucks.
Majority of the m1028's are still single rear wheel.
Just because it has duals on the rear doesn't mean it's an m1028.
I have seen m1008's converted to duals by the service.

Doors are easily changed, look for the over loads or data tag on cab.
I agree. Half the doors on M1008's and M1028's around here are from M1009s because DRMO almost always smashed the doors moving them with forklifts. The big dealers here were getting prime $$$ for the trucks in the late 80's-mid 90's and were buying M1009's for doors and other parts to build complete trucks.

If it has a NP205 Transfer Case then It's NOT A 1008. But then only 1028A1's have the 205.

Another area you can look is the bed. Most of tge M1008a have tie downs in the bed floor, 1028s don't have these. Does this truck not have a VIN?
