Last night I changed the rear springs. The old ones were shot. The new springs have a 2,250lb payload capacity vs the 1,600lb original Z71 package springs. lifted the rear about 2 in. The front got new torsion keys for a 2 .5 in lift. I think some 285/75/16 tires are coming next.

Antenna brush guards.

On a side note Im having 30 of these CUCV brush guards reproduced.

Relocated the spare tire to the cargo area utilizing a M1009 bracket. Easier access to the spare when needed.

On the CUCV-II with the service which in the ON position energizes a relay. After a few days it will drain the passenger battery (12v side of the system)

Did a little more over the weekend.

Added another radio and a jerry can holder with a decon apparatus.

In the rear I mounted a metal cargo box that I can secure stuff in and added a pioneer rack as well. Also a few fat fifty cans fit perfect between the rack and the seat. More storage?

I found this Nice stock Z71 at the grocery store.

Had to take some comparison pics.

Looking great in 686 Tan! Any progress with the brush guard fabrication you mentioned earlier in the thread? Put me down for one!

Have you had any problems with law enforcement regarding your Military Police stencils and red lights? In New York I believe that is in direct violation of the law; "impersonation of a Police Officer". I have some red strobes in my grill for parade use but I'm always leery of being pulled over on my occasional joy rides. Great looking truck.

I haven’t had any problems and I’ve had tons of law-enforcement check out the vehicle. That being said the lights on the dash and on the roof are all clear unless there running then their blue and red. I definitely would never ride around playing with the lights that’s for sure.
