Last night I changed the rear springs. The old ones were shot. The new springs have a 2,250lb payload capacity vs the 1,600lb original Z71 package springs. lifted the rear about 2 in. The front got new torsion keys for a 2 .5 in lift. I think some 285/75/16 tires are coming next.

Relocated the spare tire to the cargo area utilizing a M1009 bracket. Easier access to the spare when needed.

On the CUCV-II with the service which in the ON position energizes a relay. After a few days it will drain the passenger battery (12v side of the system)

Did a little more over the weekend.

Added another radio and a jerry can holder with a decon apparatus.

In the rear I mounted a metal cargo box that I can secure stuff in and added a pioneer rack as well. Also a few fat fifty cans fit perfect between the rack and the seat. More storage?

Very nice rig !!!! you did a great job . just curious what engine does that CUCV II use ?? BTW I am going thru the SNOW THING NOW LOL , down in the southern tier they have 63" and counting since Christmas , and we live here why ?????? all the best stay safe , Bob k

5.7 L or also known as a Small Block 350 ci at least in my 1999 2 door CUCV II

Have you had any problems with law enforcement regarding your Military Police stencils and red lights? In New York I believe that is in direct violation of the law; "impersonation of a Police Officer". I have some red strobes in my grill for parade use but I'm always leery of being pulled over on my occasional joy rides. Great looking truck.

I haven’t had any problems and I’ve had tons of law-enforcement check out the vehicle. That being said the lights on the dash and on the roof are all clear unless there running then their blue and red. I definitely would never ride around playing with the lights that’s for sure.
