Humvee has new batteries. I started up, drove a bit. Left the lights on 5 minutes with engine off while getting a soda. Tried to start, nothing. No glow plug light. Nothing. Took off new (2 months old) keyed ignition and put on original GI ignition, nothing. Checked batteries, good charge. Checking power I could not detect and power in the 3 wires going into the starter switch. Any ideas from you smarter guys? How to check neutral switch? Nartron smart box?

What model HMMWV do you have (does it need to be in Neutral)? Explain a little more about “Nothing”. Battery cables clean and tight? Confirm that it does NOT crank?

Try shorting S and T in the diag port and see if it cranks, ign off.

Sounds to me you need to tighten down your battery cables.

1. Do the lights come on now?
2. Can you blow your horn?
3. Do the needles jump when you turn the start switch to the first position?

Very basic but recheck all battery cables as per the chart in the battery box. Failing that test for power directly under vehicle on starter positive while someone turns ignition to start.
