While not exactly the case, I can give a little feedback. I towed my M1038 (it was a 2 man truck setup then) with a towbar and a crew cab 4x4 1500. I did not use the interstate, only back roads. Now that said, weight wise, I did not exceed the towing capacity. Was it fun? No, not at all. It pushed and pulled and taxed the brakes of the 1500 the entire time. Even one time causing the trucks to jack knife when I had to make a very hard right turn at a light. That was just at sub 55mph speeds. I know flat towing isn't the same a trailering. But that would also increase the towed weight.Did you experience a lot of sway while hauling with the uhaul trailer? I am concerned that I won't be able to travel at highway speeds without sway. Was yours a 2 door or 4 door with a soft top of hard top?
Mine is a M1097A2 2 door pickup with an empty bed. I own a trailer that is similar to a uhaul trailer.

No way I'd do it again. And I was "smart" enough to not even attempt highway/interstate speeds.
All of that said, I'd see no problem with trailering it on a equipment trailer or gooseneck. And with at a minimum 3/4 or 1 ton truck.
FWIW, I've towed all sorts of stupid loads. Even illegal ones. Many here have seen it first hand. I do try to plan out these activities ahead of time and I leave a ton of room ahead of me at all times. Not saying that makes it safe/legal. Just saying that when I'm hard pressed in hauling options, I will minimize what risk I can.
