I found this after I got stopped. . .

Well, actually the rod was on the shoulder about a 1/8 of a mile back. . .

Motor had about 700 hours, I put about 5000 miles on the truck before this happened, on my way to cut a Christmas tree this morning.

Bummer dude:cry:. Is that a White? Is that the truck you just painted(forsale)?

Just get it on the tricycle and get the corldess drill out, you can fix it.

I'd rather "Throw a rod" than "Blow a Tranny"!;-)

Maybe that guy with the 67MPH speeding ticket can use these pictures as evidence!

You can use the heads and cam on the engine that came out of my other truck. Don't worry DH I am sure we will work in a few tricycle pics.

What's going on? That's two multi's in two days.

Steelandcanvas and now FMJ's multi lets go.

I'd be curious to know if you've got spin-on oil filters on both of these trucks and did you warm them up before heading out?

Both engines have about the same hrs..

Ol' Mr. Murphy's workin overtime from the sounds of things.

Best of luck to you both...

This truck was my keeper Deuce, with the XL's, and pyro etc, etc. . .
It's the curse of Wreckerman I tell ya, burn him at the stake!

Sorry to see the aftermath of the two piece connecting rod and the see thru engine block.

Since there appears to be a rash of engine block ventilations of late, I would think that slowing the trucks down a bit might be a good thing to do, like not exceeding 2200-2300 rpm.

Again, sorry for your loss.
