I just picked up a M101A1 Cargo Trailer and all the identification plates have been removed except one which identifies it as US Army. 6F7901 is stamped on the trailer tongue and is the only identification besides the NSN number which was provided by Government Liquidation.

a. Serial Number
b. Registration Number 6F7901
c. NSN 2330008986779
d. Marine Corps Logistics Base, BarstowCalifornia92311

I would be grateful if you could provide any additional information about this trailer.
Jerome

Carnac, Let me start off by saying that I'm in no way questioning your info. ;)

With that being said, how accurate is the info? The reason I ask is that all the info I have (from DDoyle and others) says the truck is a 1972.

Probably the first unit that received it. Most of the 1009s that wereon ftdix within that lastfew years, all went to training support units. I only have infor of what was reported.

I only report what is in the database. If some private f'd upthe data input, then the info I provide has that same f up in it.

Uh, ok but that only told you what DRMO it came from . Most of that info is available from the GL website when you are bidding on it.

What it didn;t tell you is
Nomenclature:
TRUCK CARGO 5-TON Model:
M54 NSN:
2320008358348 Serial Number:
3396 Registration Number:
5B5126 Year of Mfg:
1958
and it was at the 1186 MP Co in Salem OR prior to getting shipped east.

regards

CARNAC

doing some math here the miles and hours tells you that things are not right 17532 miles in 87 hours in my mind that is like 201.5 miles per hour. somithing quit working early or was changed :D

Yes I am well aware of that fact! This is my 3rd MV so I know gauges are replaced sometimes due to malfunction or overhaul. I am confident that the Milage is correct but the hour meter was replaced at some point. As i have been told these Communication trucks do not see a lot of driving time since they only have one use.
