Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

I hesitated to reply to this post because my deuce does not have a winch, and I have zero experience with PTO driven winches. However, the use and care of the Garwood winch has been addressed by more experienced folks now. And I do have experience with electric winches and snatch blocks. We use...

    M35A2 Low gear issue

The numbers in white (to the far right side) represent tenths. So your odometer is showing 5,870.5 miles. Your hour meter is showing 148.8 hours. That is extremely low, but from what I've read those gauges were changed out randomly on some trucks so those readings may not be accurate. You have a...

Two and a half tons and lifts

I apologize for the sidetrack, but why such a drastic difference between A2s and A3s? I would think they weigh roughly the same.

M105 Trailer with 600 gal Fuel Pod

No apology needed. I wasn't complaining, just didn't know if you had seen that section yet. There are some cool posts in there. Welcome to Steel Soldiers, we are glad you're here!

M105 Trailer with 600 gal Fuel Pod

First, your models look great! I love the authentic look and attention to detail. Second, not to gripe but there is a section specifically for models called "Models and scale replicas". Some folks are picky about where threads are posted. Third, if you don't mind my asking, what company do you...

Two and a half tons and lifts

That ad from Northern lists the 4 post lift at 12K pounds. I know that a bobber weighs less than a stock deuce, but I wouldn't want to be under it. Sounds like a painful way to go.

    M35A2 transfer case shift lever

Thanks, I'll try that. I figured it might have something to do with the linkage for that lever being loose or worn, but I couldn't find anything loose and it locks in to high/neutral/low with a solid click when I'm not moving. I would prefer not to spend time or money digging into it as long as...

    M35A2 transfer case shift lever

My 72 M35A2 has a tendency to pop into neutral on the transfer case lever. When driving in high range, the lever moves forward while I'm accelerating. What should I look for to solve this problem?

    Dropped conversations?

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I realize that managing all of the ins and outs of 95,000 plus members, as well as their messages and posts, takes an enormous amount of time and effort. And there is no way to account for user error. I very much appreciate what you do to keep this forum...

    Dropped conversations?

I'm wondering if anyone has trouble with messages not being sent/seen? Over the past two months I have sent several PMs that went unanswered. I understand that sometimes people get busy, or forget to answer. I'm just curious whether other folks have trouble sometimes. Thanks.
