I would think it would have to be something rotating since it presents and dissappears in such a tight window of speed. As soon as I hit 32 mph I can see brush guard wobbling like crazy. As soon as I hit 34-35 it goes away. Thanks for the help guys.

I have had two different shops look at the drive shafts. The last shop told me the rear drive shaft was out of phase but I have been told that the two rear drive shafts only got together one way and that is normal. I haven’t taken it to a driveline shop I will try that out. Thanks.

The gauge works fine but there is no vacuum on the line to make it work unless the two plugs from TDM are hooked up. When I plug them up you can hear the air at the gauge and if I restrict air flow it shows on gauge appropriately. When i unplug the two plugs of TDM the gauge does not function.

I haven’t painted it but it is full of that red clay dust from Oklahoma. You can try and wash it 100 x and it still never seems to go away. It’s so fine and cakes up so strongly that wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I’ll def check that out. Thanks!

My mechanic recently replaced my transfer case on my 1989 6.2L HMMEV and noticed my front drive shaft was out of phase. He wanted me to ask someone in the know if that is how it is supposed to be or if it needs to be corrected. Anyone know for certain?

Tranny fluid looked good. Transfer case fluid was fried.

There weren't any metal shavings. I think you guys may be right with the torque converter. I have a local guy who has TH400 transmission pullouts that have been gone through for $500. Would you guys recommend just replacing torque converter or whole tranny? Thanks again for the help

Trans fluid was full. Air filter did not have fluid on it either.

Yes, the garage it was stored in had an outdoor type carpet in it. Was like that when I bought it.
