Yesterday is the first time I have fired up the 2 stroke in my M985 when it was cold. All I have to say is, it's a lot like a whiny kid getting woke up at 6am on a Saturday morning.

I am still aw struck in the luck that got me into an M985. AND right at the time they quit selling and recoded.

I used a common screw diver. $1 at Harbor Freight.

My M985 came to me with two 8Ds in it and I like it that way.

My 1987 M985 can run at 62 but is much nicer at 55.

We are NOT nuts, just misunderstood. :)

FYI, items through GSA are from all other Federal agencies. Meaning they have already left the authority of DRMO. Those rigs would have come from Forest Service, Equipment returned from Fire and Police agencies etc. That is why no EUC and wasn't stopped by DRMO as they were already released...

I went a completely different route and removed the big canister filter in favor of easier to locate spin on filters. First in line is a 14 micron with a water seperater and the second is a 2 micron. They work very well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-5H316Cz1w

That is a light tow bar, used for HMMWV/CUCV etc. I really don't think it is rated to tow a 5 ton.

Not even a HMMWV body, they are fiberglass tubs. They are only as good as the guy who built it and what components were used.
