More resistant maybe, but with fuel shut off, starter, generator, wring, batteries, and an auto transmission you still have to figure out how to start it. Would be better off with a manual a2 parked in a steel building on top of a hill if an EMP is what you’re worried about…
If you replace the lift pump, it “should” come with the gasket. Maybe one of these guys can help you with a part number? Soft line just refers to rubber fuel line. If the shop you’re using “needs” you to get that, it’s time to find another shop… again. I’ll bet you could handle these yourself...
Start reading at @VPed post #22, this will cover 90% of all start solenoid problems. This thread was started before most of us understood how low voltage, weak and or bad batteries affected these.
Any “good” hydraulic shop should be able to handle this repair without knowing what it came off of. With machining a new cap it wont be cheap though, even if the rod or tube is not bent.
As for disconnecting your batteries at the negative, you must disconnect your slave connector cable. The slave connector is grounded to the truck body at the connector itself.
The trailer brakes will work fine without the johnson bar if everything is in good working order. The deuce will handle a heavier load than your 350, but maybe not a fast depending on the year and engine is in the F350.
I cant find anything but video game stuff when searching Mad Max, but thinking this was a series of hidden toggle switches, maybe even Max’s original interceptor set up similar?
This could actually be easily be done fairly practical, a mix of N/O, N/C and or three position switches in series...
If I go through that much trouble, I’m going to make it self destruct with the wrong sequence. Hopefully it will take the thief out with it, or put me out of my misery for having to try and keep track of another “password”…
Had another run in with them last summer at Hocking Hills, if the little buggers could learn to keep their hands to themselves we would get along just fine… photo probably too graphic to share here.
