Okay, here's the last post for today with some other tidbits.... Here is the gas engine pump with its own fuel tank under the deck: There is a wheel under the cab (I don't have a good picture of the wheel) and a gauge in the cab for measuring water output. Here is the gauge: And...

It's amazing what a good bath will do! Here are some before and after comparison shots: And of course, PPE was needed to clean out the rats nest. Forget COVID, I was worried about Hantavirus!

The M810 finally got some attention yesterday (and I had fun too). I was able to get a covered parking spot for the water truck. So I brought it up to my shop, gave it a good bath and then parked it in its new home. The water truck came to me with a rats nest in the cab. I really didn't...

@Tracer as promised, here are some under the hood pictures of the M810 water truck. I did not intend to make you wait the better part of a year for these pictures... but hopefully it gave time for your anticipation/excitement to build! ;) These pictures were taken yesterday before I gave the...

This post is largely a copy/paste from the July 2020 MV of the Month thread. I'm the third owner of the M810 water truck. My friend purchased it from Government Liquidation in 2010 out of Carson City, Nevada and I bought it from my friend. He has rural property here in Texas, and I believe...

Rear Hub Service and How much Grease to use.

I did this too and have had no issues to speak of. Servicing bearings becomes quite a chore when you have two tubes (or half a tub) of grease to clean out of the hubs. Been there, done that too.

    Uses for Deuces

Thank you! And good question, Ahab. I don’t know. I elected to have chocolate chip waffles for desert and never made it by the actual dessert station. After that meal, I needed a 2.5 ton truck to get home!

Help for a new m936 owner please...

Are the solenoids the same across the M809, M939, M939A1, and M939A2 trucks, or do any of these trucks use different solenoids?

Options/Opinions on Equipment Type Trailer to Pull Behind a Deuce.

@aghumvee, I count 9 trailers in your first picture above. May I recommend a good 12 step program? @M37M35, I believe that @TAMU86 has a M1061A1 for sale just north of Houston if you want to go that route.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I’m fortunate to have a set of @peashooter’s flex lines on my truck. That was money well spent!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

@Tracer, I figured there was something that got your attention and prompted the project. I had leaking wheel cylinders on my front and middle axels and have gone through both of those axels. This Spring, I’m going to do the rear for precautionary measures. Not that you need it, but I wish you...
