Okay, here's the last post for today with some other tidbits....
Here is the gas engine pump with its own fuel tank under the deck:
There is a wheel under the cab (I don't have a good picture of the wheel) and a gauge in the cab for measuring water output. Here is the gauge:
And...
It's amazing what a good bath will do! Here are some before and after comparison shots:
And of course, PPE was needed to clean out the rats nest. Forget COVID, I was worried about Hantavirus!
The M810 finally got some attention yesterday (and I had fun too). I was able to get a covered parking spot for the water truck. So I brought it up to my shop, gave it a good bath and then parked it in its new home.
The water truck came to me with a rats nest in the cab. I really didn't...
@Tracer as promised, here are some under the hood pictures of the M810 water truck. I did not intend to make you wait the better part of a year for these pictures... but hopefully it gave time for your anticipation/excitement to build! ;)
These pictures were taken yesterday before I gave the...
This post is largely a copy/paste from the July 2020 MV of the Month thread.
I'm the third owner of the M810 water truck. My friend purchased it from Government Liquidation in 2010 out of Carson City, Nevada and I bought it from my friend. He has rural property here in Texas, and I believe...

After that meal, I needed a 2.5 ton truck to get home!
Use #687 - Deuce on display
My Deuce was on display at the Honor Cafe in Conroe, Texas today. It is a great veteran-owned restaurant and the Easter Sunday buffet was amazing.
@aghumvee, I count 9 trailers in your first picture above. May I recommend a good 12 step program?
@M37M35, I believe that @TAMU86 has a M1061A1 for sale just north of Houston if you want to go that route.
Everything is set for y’all to arrive at the museum Saturday morning between 8:30am and 9am.
TJ - What route are you taking? Since I can’t make it, I’ll be home in Montgomery off Hwy 105 if you need anything. Feel free to give me a shout if needed (either going to the rally or when you are...
Hi from just north of Houston, although Arizona was home when I was young. Welcome to the site! When you get a moment, please post pictures of your new-to-you truck!
@Tracer, I figured there was something that got your attention and prompted the project.
I had leaking wheel cylinders on my front and middle axels and have gone through both of those axels. This Spring, I’m going to do the rear for precautionary measures.
Not that you need it, but I wish you...
