M923 Water Pump Gasket, Can't Find

Is that the gasket that is supposed to be "leaded" to promote sealing or am I thinking of something else? I guess the question should be: is there anything special about that gasket? I need to change my belt and have read in other posts that its a good idea to replace the gasket with that job...

    Exhaust Leak Procedure

Can you please tell us where you were able to get the gaskets? Did you find any civy equivalents? I need to do a repair as well but am having difficulty finding the gaskets. Thanks, Al Jones '84 M923

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

:-D Indeed! I figured I'd have a gazillion replies by now. I tried it both ways and settled on the reverse configuration. I like it better. At least I didn't point the red lens forward.:-?

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

Here's an update of the convoy light project. It's been dang cold so the going has been slow. This first one shows one of the lights mounted. The next few pics show how I made custom mounts to get the mast away from the soft top. The top one does not fit perfect as I used the gun mount...

    M923A2 VIN question

The location is to the right of the steering gear cover on the left frame rail. The stamping on my frame is illegible. I used a wire brush to clean it off (very gently) and I can read a couple numbers and thats it. Enough for me to establish that I *think* it matches the data plate. An acid...

    M925 difficult starting when cold

I have four new Interstate 6TL batteries - and those are always plugged into a battery minder (in the winter only). When cold, I use about half throttle for 30 seocnds (no block heater) and then it starts. When using the block heater, I use just a smidge of throttle and it lights immediately...

    M925 difficult starting when cold

Mine was that way in cold weather, took about 30 seconds before it would light off. I installed a block heater and no matter how cold, it starts with a single crank. It really, really does help. I like that it is much easier on the starter. Al Jones '84 M023

    M923A1 Abs Light

Mike, What do you plan on doing with the bad unit? If it's going to the scap heap I would like to buy it just for the fun of disecting it to see what's inside... Al '84 M923

    M923a1 abs

If you have the MWO for ABS, it is very detailed, and I would think it very doable. It would take a couple of days to make it happen. Al Jones

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

I really goofed and only test fitted one pair of inner and outter masts. And of course the pair I tested fit great. So I went to insert the "second" inner mast into the "second" outter mast and trouble. I missed that the outter mast was slightly bent and the inner mast would not fully insert...

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

Here is tonights progress. Fishing the wires up through the tubes. The kit came with cheese ball toggle bolts. I switched to full threaded bolts that I think works wayyy better. The kits supplies the strain relief. Time for the dome lights. I added some of the washers and neoprene...

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

Here is yesterday's progress. I decided to go "depot rebuild". Assembled and then painted. The rebuild on my M923 was too nice to let some green part slip in. The silicone in the lights was pretty punky so I hogged it out and replaced it. I was also disappointed with how the dome seal...

Santa Brought a Convoy Warning Light Kit

Yes, can you please ask? I think that's a great idea. Yes, there is a parts list, drawings, instructions, etc. I'm working on finding the right scanner as the page sizes are an odd size.
