    Slow deuce

Yeah, I'm still drooling from the pictures in your other thread. Glad to hear that she started running better by the time you got home. Let us know how your truck does with new filters and fluid.

    Slow deuce

Yes, what they said above. Also, how long has your truck been sitting? My first Deuce sat in private hands for 2.5 years after sitting in Uncle Sam’s possession for who knows how long. When I got it, she was a dog! Once I got it, I drove it regularly. In less than a year of driving, there...

Sir, I do believe that’s it! Thank you. Here is a close-up of the seat from Cockpit 360

What is this - Seat from WWII Bomber?

plowboy - You got me thinking. I made an assumption about the seat’s orientation when I took pictures of it. What if I was wrong. What if the seat went in the cockpit like this >>> This is the upright position you expected. Also, there would be room for a parachute. It doesn’t surprise me...

What is this - Seat from WWII Bomber?

I did a few google searches before starting this post as did my friend who gave me the seat. Neither one of us found an exact match. That’s when I turned to the collective wisdom of the SS group.

What is this - Seat from WWII Bomber?

Hopefully someone here has information on the seat. To widen the search, I just sent an email to the Commemorative Air Force. It would be neat to see this seat back in a plane and being used!

What is this - Seat from WWII Bomber?

No, which I find strange. I didn’t see one yesterday and I just went out for a second look. There are no stamps or writing on the seat. There is a rectangular section on the back of the seat where a data tag may have been. However, there are no holes (for rivets or screws) and no indication...

What is this - Seat from WWII Bomber?

Can anyone provide any information on the seat pictured below? What did it come out of? This seat has been in my friend's father's garage for 10 years. According to the father, it is a WWII bomber seat. He couldn't bear throw it away, but wanted it out of his garage. So naturally, the seat...

    Uses for Deuces

Use #669 Meet some friends for lunch because one wants to give you a seat from a WWII bomber that their dad had in the garage for the last 10 years. Why give it to me? Because I’m the friend with all the old military stuff.

Congrats, Sir! That is exciting news. I was really hoping that the fire truck would stay a fire truck.... but, hey.... it’s yours. Enjoy it how you like!!

M813 vs m35A2 which is bigger

Here is (from left to right): M936A2 on 14’s M35A2 on 395’s M810 (I need to confirm tire size) Note, there is a slight slop to the ground, but not much. The M936A2 is on the high end and the M810 is on the low end.

pros and cons to owning an LMTV vs a M35a3

Congrats on your acquisition and on the successful recovery! That is exciting news! My advice is read! Read the TMs and search/read the posts on SS. There is a lot of good information out there. If you are like me, you will also discover things that you didn’t even know to ask about. Then...
