    Tranfer case hodgepodge

Ok, so I tore down the air shift case with the bad internals. I found 30% of a bearing race and a beat up ball bearing, so I assume the previous owner pulled out the other parts. I can't see where the bearing came from, so it must be from inside the shifting mechanism. The case did have...

NAPA part numbers for WMO filter set up.

I just tested out my Chevy engine oil pump converted to electric drill drive. I moved a 50 gal drum of oil into my trucks tank in 10 minutes. I freakin love it!

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

It is his hit or miss with printed pictures. Spend the $6 at Walmart and get 4 nice pictures made.

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

From my research and discussion with a State Police inspector, with an antique plate you are not required to stop, but to keep them from chasing you down the road, it is best to just swing through, say hello, and keep on trucking. With a regular tag, you do need to stop, and you better have...

Ya you'll have to get used to getting looks.

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

Hmm, I've added tag lights and marker lights to mine for safety reasons, but I have an Antique plate for now. I would say I spent $70 on lights to get it up to DOT spec for a truck this size. -license plate light -front (amber) side, mid (amber) side, and rear (red) side marker lights -5 amber...

Pennsylvania M35A2 owners.....A couple questions for you.

You'll have to provide a little more detail about the problem you're incurring if you want help. Can you not find a shop that will inspect the truck?

    brake bleeding

I think the total cost of building a pressure bleeder for me was less than $20 for a weed sprayer bottle and some brass fittings. I also installed a remote brake fluid reservoir and pressure bleed at the cap there. Don't go over 6-8 pumps of the sprayer. I blew out the seals in my master...

NAPA part numbers for WMO filter set up.

Don't waste your time on cheap 12v electric fuel pumps either. I'll be building a chevy gear oil pump like so: Alternative Fuel: Waste Vegetable Oil ( Wvo ) Gear Pump - Yahoo! Voices - voices.yahoo.com

NAPA part numbers for WMO filter set up.

I think my 55 gal drum is about the right size. Any bigger and I would worry about insulating, any smaller and I would be touching it way more than I want to with about 400 gals of oil needing processed right now.

    Front Spring U-bolts Loose

Well just how do you figure how much force you're putting on the end of that pipe? :D

    Front Spring U-bolts Loose

No joke! I found the same thing on my truck last weekend when changing the differential and transmission fluid. Mine was only the driver side 2 u-bolts though. They needed a complete revolution or more to tighten up but the passenger side was tight. Is anyone else tempted to cut off that...

NAPA part numbers for WMO filter set up.

Any updates? I'm picking up 2 110V flange mount hot water tank heating elements on Saturday for my set-up. I think I'll be ordering one of those temperature switches posted earlier to try it out. I have an open top 55 gal drum up high on a stand for this experiment.

    M416-A1 rebuild in progress!!!

Here is my M416 thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/76399-cleaning-up-m416.html There is some info in there on where to find generic canvas OD green tarps that work well as original replacements, and some pictures on the last page of the tarp on my trailer.

    M416-A1 rebuild in progress!!!

This was not the case with my M416, and certainly not the case with the CJ-3B suspension that the M416 copies. My trailer was made by Steven's, and it did not have the suspension/shock mounts welded and bolted, just bolted. It's your call on going through the hassle of taking them out. If...

I think that filter and base are a little cheaper at fleetfilter.com

    Tranfer case hodgepodge

No lever on the sprag. The air lock is a manual already, air actuated, you want to convert it to mechanical engagement. I would search the forum to see if it has been done.
