Just bartered for a trailer, please help!

It looks like you have an M101A1. No surge brake is a big clue along with the weight on the data plate. I'd like to see a pic of the wheel showing the lug pattern.

Need 3 or 4 M1101/M1102 trailer cover clips...

It's like looking for Hen's teeth to get those clips, or everyone is ignoring me, which is more likely.

    M6 Rolling Wheel Liquid Transporter

Maybe, who knows what crazy stuff an engineer would come up with. Pumping Nitrogen into it after filling with something liquid would help on unloading it as well as the aformentioned dual bladders. Hey, it's interesting and that is what counts as I'm sure no one would try to use it anymore...

    M6 Rolling Wheel Liquid Transporter

ChatGPT says: An M6 rolling gas trailer refers to a type of military equipment used to transport compressed gases, typically for various operational needs such as fueling vehicles, aircraft, or other machinery. The "M6" designation suggests that it is part of the United States military's...

    M1070. Need new boot?

TM-9-2320-360-24P.HETPARTS.pdf Page 2-532 That I downloaded from the manual section on this site. The zipper boot on a Deuce is not the same thing as the rubber sealing the rod end on the drag link assembly. It may feel like it should be replaceable and maybe it is but I wouldn't count on...

    M1070. Need new boot?

I just looked in the parts manual for the truck and it looks like the whole bushing is what you replace. Just a guess though.

    Chucky's Worst Nightmare?

Having a backhoe and seeing what happens when stuff is in the air and a line blows I would think there would be at least two maintenance support devices, one for each side, each capable of supporting the camper by itself. No way I'm getting under anything like that without something.

    New brush truck...should I keep?

If you have an Interstate battery close by go there and pick up 2 of their special batteries they get from dealers that didn't sell them in time. Or you can get a couple of blemish batteries. You do not need 6TL Armalite as that is incredible overkill. Make sure the starter is the correct...

    New brush truck...should I keep?

Looks like a keeper. Get the manuals and make sure the wiring of the batteires is correct and like Mullaney said, check for correct starter. A Deuce is pretty simple to start. Pretty easy to change engines too but I recommend doing the other stuff first.

    Tension Spring Safety Question

That's easier than my idea of laying a dead raccoon across the spring to dampen the event......

    FARMVEE

Do you plan on putting the spear on the back or front? with just a cylinder to raise and lower?

    Tension Spring Safety Question

Hydraulics breaking I understand, my backhoe broke a swing hose and blew out fluid all over the fence line is was pulling. Luckily it below and facing away from me. A cable sounds like a better solution than a chain.

    FARMVEE

I like the idea of using the truck on the farm. I might have gone with a trailer feeding operation but with the HMMWV you can go places you won't be pulling a trailer. We own a small farm. Anyone with more than 1 acre needs a backhoe and a truck. It was the first thing (hoe). I got it a...

    Tension Spring Safety Question

I have a newer trailer with a gate/ramp. To help raise and lower the gate/ramp they put a spring on one side. Works well and I check it often but it was pointed out that it could break and cause injury. I agree but I need a way to make safer. I could put a chain through it or a cable to try...

The Southeast Military Vehicle Rally needs a new leader. Read within.

Yes, Clint can confirm but that was part of the LLC to reduce exposure.

    Polaris MRZR-D4

I saw one for sale on a certain site. Yeah no, I'd rather have a supported new one and not Polaris. But that's me.

    HMMWV movie sightings.

Did you guys forget one of our very own was in the TV series Containment? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4421578/ He had an uncredited part as the driver of the HMMWV and it is actually moving in the scene.

The Southeast Military Vehicle Rally needs a new leader. Read within.

When I performed the function of rally commander I interviewed for the job with Clint at the National MVPA show in Louisville a few years. I gave him my thoughts on how to run it during the rally and he just did the leg work up to it. I got to Durhamtown a couple days before the "official"...

Need 3 or 4 M1101/M1102 trailer cover clips...

Did anyone ever post up or come up with a source for the M1101/1102 cover clips? I just won one by accident and would like a few.
