Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

How did you get the liners to come out? Did they come out as you were turning the engine over or did you need to pull them?

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

I'm really glad you are doing this. As soon as I get back from overseas, I am going to be doing the exact same thing. I have new pistons, liners, bearings, valve guides, gaskets, filters...ect. I am looking forward to your progress and any feedback on problems you might encounter.

    MEP-003A Exhaust Idea

I would also be concerned with carbon build-up inside that small of a pipe. It seems to me that just a small amount of carbon will drastically reduce the amount of flow, thus causing the engine to work harder, less efficiently, and causing carbon to build up that much faster. Just my .02 cents

    engine surging?

It decided to stop on its own. I figured it was just some gunk breaking loose, after sitting for some time before I got it.

    Weird coolant leak, need advice

I have had the same problem before. I determined that I wasn't letting the truck idle long enough to properly cool down. When I didn't idle the truck long enough, my deuce would puke coolant a few minutes after shutting her down. Idle her for a good 5 minutes after parking.

The hooks on the end of the "super cord" should unsnap, or unscrew. So, you may be able to salvage them.
