I had the same problem with my Deuce several years ago. Follow Gimpys advice and check the connection to the exciter wire that goes under the small cover on top of the generator. If it is bad the generator will not charge.

Yes I got a whistler turbo. The install was not too bad, I just had to scrounge up some parts that did not come with the "clean air" kit. I bought the turbo and clean air kit from Boyce Equipment. I REALLY look forward to buying from them again.
