Unfortunately, Most government agencies do not want our help. They see us as a liability, and will turn us around. The general public will use us and abuse us.
I dont know where the story is, but a gentleman tried to help with his Deuce during Katrina, but was turned away by the red cross...

For those of you with a winch truck, Make sure the winch is not engaged before you start the truck. The lock out plate has a tendency of flipping up.
I was just wondering what driving tips/ experience you guys might have to share about driving your deuce/ 5 ton.
Heres a couple that I know of:
1. Dont drive a deuce with your thumbs on the inside of the steering wheel: If the wheel gets away from you it will break your thumbs.

Another update:
Changing the acid in the battery worked for a few weeks, but the battery is now only 10 volts and wont hold a charge.
So, changing the acid in a battery will work.......for a few weeks:deadhorse:
I put my old unit markings on my Deuce from when I was in the 1st Cavalry Division.
On the Passenger side front bumper it says: 1CD/ 2-5 CAV
On the driver side front bumper it says: B41
I have a MEP-003a 10 kw gen set that I would let you look at/ try out on the "blue wrench" to see if that is what you might need.
