    "Attempted" transmission repair

About three weeks ago I was driving my deuce and felt, what I thought was a slipping clutch. After a couple of jerks she acted like nothing was wrong. Then about a week ago I was going to help another SS member recover a M105 from Ft. Bragg, on the way I lost second and third gear. Luckily...

I think my dog has fleas

Food or garden grade Diatomaceous Earth. Do not buy pool grade as it contains chemicals harmful to animals. It is completely non toxic and is also used in spices to keep them from clumping. Sprinkle areas where the dog frequents ( doesn't take much!! ). I use a powdered sugar sifter. You can...

Does your truck have a winch??? If it does or you would be willing to let me keep my winch, I would be willing to do an even trade on my 1971 M35A2. It is a non turbo, soft top, with wood troop seats, and the old elephant ear mirrors. I Also have an original canvass cab cover, It just has a...

I dont know about NAPA, but I know White Owl does. His number is 252-522-2586. Ask to talk to George, I spoke with him yesterday and he had the pressure plate, clutch disk, throwout bearing, and a bushing, for around $300.00.

    Excessive smoke from slobber tube

I have had the truck for over a year now, and the blowby has been the same since I got it. It starts and runs fine, sounds good and pulls great. So, I guess I should just keep check on the oil and let it be. By the way Lloyd the generator I got from you is working great, Thanks again!!!!!!!!

    Excessive smoke from slobber tube

According to the odometer ( and we all know how accurate those are) The truck has 27,000 miles. The hour meter says the motor has 875 hours. I have looked and not seen a rebuild tag on the motor, so I can only assume that it has not been rebuilt. I do know that the truck was a National Guard...

    Excessive smoke from slobber tube

Okay, I have been trying to find out if my deuce has a slobbering problem.... My truck is a non turbo with a White LD-465-1 motor. The slobber tube extends down to the lowest point of the frame. While the truck is running there is a constant white smoke coming from it. The smoke rolls out...

    Recovery of "dead" vehicles...

Rolling a truck with air brakes but no air, isn't that difficult. All you need to do is cage the brakes. Which means manually taking the pressure off by use of a special bolt.
