In my experience, random changes can be dirt in your brushes and a one time thing, or your batteries could be struggling to start the motor and the yellow represents the alternator pushing them back up, or bad connections. I thought my connections in the battery box were good and was confused...
I plan to replace the cross over hoses in my duct so this is helpful. I imagine the "glue" was intended to help seal against loss of air flow, not as a fastener per se. Still, it functions the same way.
Any other insights to share re: pulling that off and putting back on?

That will all keep you busy a while. When I replaced my entire steering linkage (just not the gear box) I ordered pitman and idler from HummerPartsGuy and am very happy with his customer service, FYI. He charges more than scrounging surplus off eBay, but he provides plenty of advice by email...
Thanks for the update Matt. I've been busy w/ school but ti is beginning to slack up. I should have more time in two weeks.
I will contact you then for some more details, there's not enough to go on to a second pattern (as GTaube points out).
A fitting fixture would be optimal, but it's not...
I heard that the new Joint Tactical Vehicle from OSHKOSH has experienced non-trivial delivery schedule delays (i.e. it's a huge overburdened monster that costs hundreds of thousands apiece and looks like a compact car designed by a committee, meaning it's gigantic). As a result HMMWVs are going...
Unless it saw a major, and odd, modification, it's 24V from two 12V batteries in series. All military and heavy duty trucks are 24V, by and large.
Good luck,

Those side steps are a good idea there. I hadn't thought of that. I have them on my rear bumper for help in getting up to the bed, but I hadn't thought to mount them under the doors. I will have to get 4 more!
What onboard air system did you use? Where did you put the tank? DIY the pump...
And to pile on some unsolicited advice (since others beat me to the PCB comment and after-glow profiles): it's worth checking to see if you have a proper grounding harness in it, as bad or intermittent grounds in the electrical system will also cause similar problems now and down the road. It's...
Fellows, our two brothers interested in checking the fitment and performance of the prototypes are not able to fit them due to unexpected issues.
Is there anyone else able to test fit them for a courtesy set (i.e. free)? I'll arrange for them to be sent you.

How on earth could that get that bad? It looks like galvanic corrosion, or acid corrosion, not rust...
Definitely good that you took care of it. Terrible sight to behold.

Note that the Original Poster hasn't been on in a VERY long time. (Click his name and then Profile) Doubt he'll reply. Just FYI. This thread is ancient.
I think most of us use the recommended gear oil from the TM.

Where's a good place/price to get those? I'm assuming they are not made of gold, like HMMWV mirrors. I replaced mine with repurposed NOS school bus mirrors, but they rattle too much and are too small to be useful.

Russ, I apologize that I missed your note, as the page count for this thread jumped and I kept going.
I have a volunteer, and the boots are on the way to him.
I don't know about your fitment question, I've never worked on an M925 (or any other 6x6 for that matter).
Dimensions for the M35 are...
Thanks all. Dead pilot volunteered by PM and a set of boots is on its way.
Davidb56, the fabric is claimed waterproof by the manufacturer. The zipper would be less so. I imagine they will do fine driving through puddles, but I imagine sitting in standing water would likely let some in to...
