The M715 bows are curved and more like the bows on a M35 than the M37. The corners are more rounded and don't go to a full 90 degrees, this accounts for the curve of the bow.

Also be aware that the M37 has a pretty narrow engine compartment which makes swapping bigger engines a bit more difficult that most other vehicles. There are a lot of engineering obstacles to over come to try and shoe horn a big 440 in there.

The easiest way to tell a difference is in the bow corners. M37' and M101 trailer bows have an 90 degree bow corner where the M715 and other vehicles like the M35's have a more rounded bow corner that doesn't go quite a full 90 degrees.

Black lettering and square periods tell me that these are more than likely not original marking for this vehicle. What year M37 is it? As that will make all the difference as to weather these are legit numbers.

Unfortunately they are not the same as the older J-trucks. They can be made to fit but the radiator support has to be moved.
