Clean her up and fire her up! --Take pictures and post them or it didn't happen. I like the round nose jimmy myself over the M35, but I admit multifuel is a nice feature to have. I guess I'd take either as a gift.

Buy an inexpensive mechanical oil pressure gauge from the auto parts store and plumb it in place of your dash gauge. Fire her up, note the pressure. Warm her up and drive around a bit, note the pressure. Then report back here with the results.
I had this same problem. In my case my...
Am up in Alexandria, not terribly near I know. There are paths around using the STE/ICE tester, you don't have to have it for many fixes.
It is my understanding that is a Comms Port, yes. There must be 24V there somewhere, and a long careful read of the electrical diagram will find it. I...
Your summary is how I have come to understand the current status (current, since laws can be changed). I use antique plates myself but am considering regular tags in case those give me any extra leeway later. I don't use my truck but once a week to keep the fluids moving or for actual haulage...
Any larger pitman arm puller should be fine. I used a kit purchased off Amazon, "PMD Front End Service" will pull it up. It's gone up in price, but is a good visual reference.
You can get a large pitman puller at most auto parts stores too. I used the large C shaped puller and a little J...
Thanks for the ideas Gents. The Double Nickel lead got me to eBay where I found some good listings for both those products and from ROSCO. I'm sifting through them now. Double mirrors are expensive, but good sized 6.5"x10" flat mirrors seems to be readily had for a good price.
I'll post the...
I wouldn't paint them all with the same brush. The CREE part is just the LEDs, which anyone can buy and incorporate into a product. The maker of the overall assembly is the one not holding their end up. CREE LED's are good product and made in the USA!

Great question Dock Rocker. Thanks for asking. No, I do not. I should have mentioned my setup, my mistake.
I have a 1987 M998 with soft top and soft doors. I had the standard military mirrors with standard two bracket setup bolted to the A pillars. It would seem the best bet is some kind...
Having rubbed my passenger side mirror off on a tree at the Graves Mountain rally earlier this month I am looking for replacements.
I don't care for the military options, especially in that the captured nut in the HMMWV mirror will eventually rust and I won't be able to adjust the mirrors as...
It’s a solenoid operated valve not a vacuum pump. One moving part inside. It gets pressure and fluid from the steering pump. I figure the reason why it hisses for some of us and not others is down to individual vehicle characteristics of fluid type, amount of use, age of components and so on...
It's the valve doing it's job. Sometimes the mount gets jiggered and the movement of the hydraulic fluid through the valve resonates on the mounting and body. Strictly speaking it's physics, not something to be "fixed'. Proper mounting and damping helps. If your valve is very noisy, even...
