    spindle keyway gasket dilema

Well, I don't drink the hard stuff, just beer. So I got a case of beer and went looking for a cork tree here on the farm and haven't found one yet. So I off to the store for some more beer.:driver::razz:

    Axle plug won't budge

I had the same problem. I took it to a mech. and he couldn't get it out either, so he welded a nut to it and no more problem.

    purchasing my first M35A2

I got my M35a2 from a local who got it from Russell's. I got a good deal on it. I have been over to Ga. to check out Russell's and they seem to be good folks. They will take up time with you and answer all questions.

    Axle Leaks

Well, a friend and I are going to tackle redoing the seals in the rear axle. We will have to take off one tire at the time as we can't handle both at the same time. I have the seals and the cork for the keyway. I have been looking for the -20 TM to use. There is a guy on SS that says he has tons...

    Axle Leaks

Thanks all for the information. Jeff, I was at Ft. Rucker from 1958 ($2 an hour) till 1999 when I retired. I was at Rucker before the Huey. Again, thanks to all for the good info. This is a great website.

    Axle Leaks

Jeff, thanks for the reply, but I have already contacted the mech. and explanied that it wasn't an oil bath bearing. He says he understands now. He's going to do it over next week. By the way, were you ever at FT. Rucker? I spent over 37 years there in avionics.

    Axle Leaks

Jeffhuey, I wish you had started this thread a few days earlier. I'm a newbee and I took my duce to a diesel mech. I ask him if he had ever worked on a duce, he said they were nuts and bolts like the rest of them. My right rear hub was warm to the touch and the others were cool. I had the seals...

Deuce vs. Pine Tree or not?

I recently took 169 trees out of my yard, all pines. I cut about 70 of them myself, then hired a crew to cut the others. Some were 2'. The trees, not the men.:-D Then I hired a man with a stump grinder to take out the stumps. He cut the root down to 3' below the ground. I took my small tractor...

    Steel Soldiers, users age

I'll be 72 in about 24 days. Just bought my first M35 about 3 weeks ago. I drove a 6X6 from Dothan Al. to Ind. when I was 17 years old. I had joined the N. G. at 17 and went to the motor pool to take my drivers test. I had never driven one. I had to look at the data plate to see how to change...

If you jack up one wheel, stay clear of it as it might spin if it is binding.

How do I bleed air tanks?

Great idea Jim, I picked up a couple the other day. I guess you can connect them together and have the one chain to pull. How do you secure the one chain to the outside?

How do I bleed air tanks?

By the way Jimma, I just received a geared lug wrench from Mr. Kip. He has them for $100, that includes shipping. Mine is like new, doesn't appear to have been used. They will come in handy. Kip has them in the classifieds.

How do I bleed air tanks?

Welcome to the forum Jimma. I was in your shoes 3 weeks ago. I ask as many questions that I knew to ask from the guy I bought my MV from. When I would come up with a new question, I would call him. He liked to help me out. Also, like the members above said, read, read and in your spare time read...

    Breaker Panel Location M35A2

Newbee here. When I got my M35A2 the horn and heater didn't work. It was the ckt. breaker behind the dash. It wouldn't reset. I even put it in the freezer and checked it. Still bad. Anyone know the current rating of these breakers. According to the TM mine has two ckt. breakers and they are the...
