I just read the "Forums Rules" ....again.... It does mention a classified section but it does not mention where it is. I think it would be very easy to miss the fact that there is a classified section in that document seeing as how the 'Forums Rules' page is a 3 page document with 2200 words...
Thanks, it's a design attribute on a lot of the Unicats too. It allows you to add length without screwing up your departure angle. You can pretty much make a vehicle as long as you can stand dealing with after the axles (see: school bus) but if you are ever going to go up a hill you need to...
I found these trucks a while ago when searching for information on deuce to RV conversions. I just recently located them both again, I thought I would share them with people who maybe hadn't seen them, because they are the inspiration for my imminent deuce project.
The first one is charlie's...
It's not an usual choice at all. The mercedes 3.0L I-5 diesel is a small, tough, reliable and simple engine, if you want diesel motor in your jeep it would be a pretty unfortunate choice to power it with a old chevy diesel if you wanted it to last a while. Most American diesels are heeeeavy and...
You could just find a master cylinder for a topkick or a ford f-700 or a school bus, generally these systems are hydroboost or electric over hydraulic and can be fitted to most any vehicle with modifications, it's not difficult people, it's just expensive. These systems are overkill compared to...
You have it all wrong. Note the fuel can on the back of the jeep. That's the firestarting vehicle, they need that to start fires so the deuces don't get bored.
The transmission is about half that, 250 or so, me and another guy lifted it onto a work bench, then after I took the gears out me and a girl carried the casing up stairs.
FYI, I drove my deuce from Sandusky, OH to Lake Jackson, TX in my deuce. It's a 1500 mile drive, in a car it would take 22 hours at around 70mph, in a deuce it took a lot longer, I would think 26 or so hours. My deuce is faster than a usual one, with the overdrive transmission and large...
Trucks are worth what you're willing to pay for them. You can get a truck with most of the items on it working for about 3000 without winch 4000 with winch. For that price it should have had at least the fluids checked, most of the things on it work, and the brakes looked at after it was taken...
I like it a lot. That's going to be my next mod. It's a terrible job to check the fluid now, if I just had to pop the hood I would check it a lot more often.
The deuce's passenger capacity for a normal truck is 14 I believe. That's below the requirements for calling something a bus I believe. Also you can't accept any money for the transport, not even diesel money, as that would make it a commercial enterprise. Next the truck is under 26000# with...
Here's my take on it. You can not trust the majority of the people on the internet or indeed the world as a whole. DB proves that you need you use your brain and do a little research before doing business with someone. Now sometimes you'll do all the right things and still wind up screwed in...
Some trucks (like mine) have the updated push button switch. To activate your service lights:
First press any button to activate the switch so you can input a command. It should light up if it's working.
Next press the button corresponding to the lights to want to activate: Popular choices...
I bought my M105A2 for 178$ it's crazy how much the tongue on it weighs. It takes 3 people to lift it comfortably or two to strain and pick it up. You can do it by yourself if you use you back and twist around a whole lot. I hope I never have to pick it up by hand now that it's on the deuce...

Mine run plugged into the shop or can be run off the inverter. 5 strings of 200 blue bulbs and zip ties.
I use that same inverter.
If or when my deuce does the famous rod through the block trick, I'll be looking real hard at mechanical 5.9s, they seem to have limitless potential for making modifications.
