    Aircraft Insulation in the Deuce?

This all seems very interesting. My hardtop has some weird aged foam on the inside. I think im going to pull the trigger and order some of the insulation from spruce.

    M101A2 Civilian Conversion Build

I'm interested, I love watching stuff like that. People on the FJ Cruiser forums build up M101s occasionally. Everyone has different ideas, that's what inspires me to go out and do things.

    Going Single

I don't think he attacked anyone in particular or started name calling, TM America just stated his opinion on the topic at hand. I feel like if you had super singles and the right style wheels then there is going to be little difference in stability to smaller dauls. I wouldn't run stock tires...

Understanding the cooling system in relataion to block heaters (video)

I guess this all really has no relevance for warmer climates I've never had any problems starting my deuce in cold weather here, not even when it was in the teens for a week here. I guess it has to be below 0'F for you to start thinking about heaters. My deuce fires right up on the first...

    necessary addition to any deuce!

Is it's 24v or 12v? I hardwired a cheapo chinese 7" monitor and nv cam into my FJ cruiser, it worked pretty well. The only problem with 2.4ghz is that EVERYTHING is 2.4ghz so things like city wide wifi, cordless phones, and various other 2.4ghz appliances can interfere. If it was 2.4ghz digital...

    Aircraft Insulation in the Deuce?

Has anyone had in experience with the properties of aircraft insulation? I was reading an article on discarded airplane fuselages being ideal for use as arctic research stations. Discarded Airplane Fuselages Resurrected As Mobile Arctic Research Station - Ecofriend That got me thinking...

    OEM Deuce Batteries

If your 1.2 gigawatt flux capacitor requires that you reach 88 miles per hour you might want to consider a faster vehicle than the deuce. Maybe if you added 2 more 24v batteries you can upgrade to the 2.4 gigawatt flux capacitor, where you only need to reach 44mph. The deuce will do 44 all day...

Why short an aready short truck

I think the best answer to "Why bob a deuce?" is "Because I bought and paid for it, it's mine, and I'll do what I want to do to it." That said I like my 6x6 truck. It's big and cool. I don't really have any interest in bobbing, but the same people who dislike bobbers are the same people who...

i think my tranny went out

Mine made a noise like that before I replaced it, it wasn't a bad gear or anything. The tip of the upper main shaft that sits in the needle bearings behind the input shaft, had a groove worn into it. It was rattling around causing the terrible noise, because it could no longer spin smoothly...

    Park lights not on

I have two 14$ o'reilly chinese daylighter knockoffs that I installed 24 volt H3 bulbs in, and sprayed OD green. Twice as bright as high beams, effective on the beach. Wired them directly to the battery with a inline fuse and high amperage military style switch. The easiest way to run the...

    draining tanks after driving

I always drain the air out of my tanks after I'm done driving it for the day. It gets the moisture out, and imo makes it harder to steal. If someone tries to start it they get a loud buzzer and if they continue on, they have no brake booster for a good few minutes.

Time to dust off your credit cards!!!

Well, when they run out of deuces they'll find other stuff that needs to be surplussed for easy money. Like the HMMWV being replaced by the cougar and assorted other vehicles replaced with other things. I'm sure when they ran out of M38s people got worried. Plus there's armor. They probably...

    u1300l

No offense, as I have no idea what kind of hunting California offers, but here in Texas hunting usually involves multiple people going out into rugged remote terrain where the few roads can turn into mud rivers in a matter hours if they even exist. Most of the transport is through grassy or...

    Towing M105 behind Jeep Wrangler

I didn't say all, I said most. IMO, There are more people interested in jumping in on an attack bandwagon for the sake of post count than answering the questions asked in an opening post. The OP said it himself, that he had to weed through a bunch of answers to questions he didn't ask to find...
