Here's what my friend Robert and I did on my mep003... It has a 50,30 and some 20 amp rec. in the box with jumpers to plug to house or another 4 20 amp box. It's made to roll down the ramp and lock into place when moving. I did that because the wire can get heavy and the box is off the ground or...
What am I doing wrong...My bung adapters on both my 003's will not fit in my tank's 2" npt hole. The tank is 275 gals. and a 2" pipe will screw down in the hole. Can't get that adapter to push in there and yes I flipped the lock lever.
Thanks Guys,
On the M103 trailer cover there's a ton of buckles and D rings sewn on it to hold all the sides together. Wonder if zippers would be better (cheaper) at all four corners than the buckles.
Yes Sir, M103A3. That's what I thought, not many around anymore. Mine is rotting thread at the seams and falling apart, it could be sewn in a pinch.
Thanks,
Question for you guys, I have a AN/MJQ-18 trailer, it's a twin MEP-003 trailer and was looking for a new tarp for it. NSN number is 6115-01-206-1271. Does anyone know where to look for one? Mine is falling apart.
Thanks for any leads
I don't know if this is right place, but I've got two MEP-003s mounted on a military trailer and looking for one of you electrical guys to build me a junction box. One that will plug into my house and have some other plugs, 110 and 220 type like a regular generator. I will trade one of the...
That's the only one I found, too. Love that look. Mine would be a flatbed, but not so sure that's a deuce frame, maybe 1 1/2 ton from WWII. I can't find any information on it either. That body is the same as mine, but my 2 ton has wider fenders and grille in order to cover the bigger axle.
Rusty,
Seems like most big trucks have the 34" wide frame. I was thinking at one time of moving the deuce's running gear over to the chevy's frame, but I just like that big 'ol deuce frame and it has the winch already set up. They use the same wheels, too. I fit in the chevy so much nicer and I...
Thanks, won't be until later in the year. I'm finishing up a FJ55 Landcruiser right now, but want to get on the deuce soon. I'm not finding much information about swapping the body out, but I've got years of good material on power steering add ons, better brakes, etc. I can't wait to start doing...
Man, how'd you that so fast! Thank you, certainly some good reading. I'm trying to work with what I have and make a little bit more comfortable farm truck. I pull a stock trailer also, so it will have power steering and maybe the modified overdrive trans. gear, kind of a do all truck.
Let me first just say how much my search skills suck eggs! I've been looking for several days and can only come up with one guy who talked about putting an old cab on a deuce. I've seen a lot of monster truck type stuff, but nothing down to earth, everyday farm truck. I'm wanting to put my 59...
