    Civy headlight number?

Can't find my notes. Can someone tell me the part number for 24v civilian headlights? I know, they won't have the rubber leads, but I can solder.

    Free Fuel for the Deuce?

Waste Motor Oil can be filtered & used without a lot of expense or aggravation. Never tried WVO. There is a LOT of good info in the "alternative fuels" section.

    Eliminate M813 muffler?

Has anyone tried running a Cummins with no muffler, just pipe? The outlet broke off of mine yesterday. I reads TedGs fix and may have to try it, but I wonder how the truck would sound without it.

    RV roof top ac

You might need 2 RV rooftop units to equal the BTUs of an automotive AC system. NOT practical.

Sorry, I can't find it right now. I need to go to work. If someone else doesn't come up with it, look up member BillW. He started a thread about it. Good luck!

Take a door handle to a lock shop. They can fix you up with locking handles, keyed alike.

    24 VDC to 12 VDC & 24 VDC to 110 AC converters/inverters Question

The Rediline makes a sound similar to a 1/2 hp electric motor with no load on it. I've only experimented with it, running a light & a 3/8 drill, not run it under a full load. I got it from a locksmith who used it to run a fluorescent light & a key machine. When I first got it I thought it was...

    24 VDC to 12 VDC & 24 VDC to 110 AC converters/inverters Question

I also have an old Rediline, about 800 watts. Definitely puts out clean full sine wave power. Would be perfect for running a computer or other electronics. For those unfamiliar, Rediline generators have 12 or 24 or 36 vdc motors that turn 120 vac generators. Very compact & dependable too. I...

    24 VDC to 12 VDC & 24 VDC to 110 AC converters/inverters Question

I have an AIMS 24 vdc to 120 vac inverter in my Deuce "camper". I run a small microwave, fans, & lights. I really like it. I've seen them go from $90 to $450. I kept watching ebay until I won one for $90. Ebay MAY be your friend.

    Filtering used oil

Wow! Surprised to see this old thread again. Now that I have a few years experience filtering & burning WMO, I can give some advice. First advice would be to read all the info in the "alternative fuel" thread. There are a lot of good ideas. And some that are too complicated/expensive. Gravity...

    M416 Trailer

George at White Owl, 252-522-2586, came through with the correct parts & was even able to speak slowly enough so a Marine could understand him. Heckuva nice guy. Thanks George!

What are these little spring clips for?

Yup! Those are the attaching points for the hood & access (filler) panel arctic blankets. See my avatar. There are laces on the blankets which go through those "clips".

    fuel return fittings

I'm not near my trucks, but I beleive you can use a common 3/4" pipe plug for the differential. It may be bigger, but I'm pretty sure it's just pipe thread.

    air pressure problem

Compressor belt could be loose. You really need a compressor pulley wrench to tighten it. And of course the compressor could be worn out.

    1966 International Pickup USN

FYI- SeaBees got several Internationals in 'Nam in 1967-1968. There was a shortage of M37s & 715s. I think the fleet Navy & the Air Force had them too. Never saw any with Marine markings, but who can say.............
