If you're talking about the transfer case interlock air solenoid, it can and does pressurize the transfer case when the seal stops sealing. I disconnected the air feed to mine and capped both the solenoid and the air line. The spring inside does a good enough job on its own to keep the lever...
Or you could just keep the air drier serviced. If you're getting water in the tanks on a drier-equipped truck, it needs a new desiccant can at a minimum.
Nope, or at least I don't. I am young enough, but I don't have time to deal with getting a stuck 5-ton out.
Coincidentally, that's why I want to get a 5T w/w. If the 931 gets in a bad position, I don't have anything big enough to get it out for sure.
The CTIS still functions even if you don't change the setting, as it regularly checks the tire pressures. 4 lights usually means one of your tires is low on air.
fixed the injection pump's tendency to not shut the engine down. The limiting screw for the stop lever had worked its way forward preventing proper operation.
So I think I figured this one out. There is a screw on the IP that limits the travel of the stop lever. I think it had worked its way forward, preventing the control rack from moving back enough to stop injection. I actually was able to find an overhaul manual for the MW pump as used on the...
If its attached to the firewall and looks like an aluminum cylinder, that's the air pressure governor. I can't remember what it means when it steadily leaks air from the exhaust port, but replacements are very inexpensive.
I'm going to be the dissenting opinion here, but so be it. Something else to consider about the Deuce: if something on it breaks, more often than not you won't be able to get it at NAPA. Not a good thing to have happen when you need it running then and there.
An 7.3 F250 with a 7-ton GN...
The bed of a M35 is quite high. Someone here probably knows the bed-height off of the top of their head.
IMHO, You'd be better off with a cheap 1/2-ton truck and a decent car trailer than the deuce for towing your 3-ton Kubota. What else are you intending to use the M35 for?

80psi is overkill if you're not loaded to capacity, but for trucks with functional CTIS like mine you don't get much of a choice. That said, my 931A2 rides fine at anything but 27-33 and 58+mph. It "porpoises" like crazy at 30mph, so I avoid that completely. At the end of the day these trucks...
