thanks everyone, youve all given me great leads, and im finding tons of options now that i have an idea of where to look. i just had no idea where to start looking for something like that before, and was afraid it would be one of those products that had long ago gone by the way side due to lack...
ok, ive searched the threads, and found alot on fixing the vaccum windshield wipers, but i need to know where i can get the kit or parts to convert over to electric windshield wipers. is this a custom only thing? i thought they used to sell kits for other vehicles years ago, but i cant find...
TCUCV and Knight, you both have great rides! and i agree fully on the crawling abilities. my M1010 surprised me, and amazed the people that watched with how easy it not only creeps up hills, but also how i can put it it 4low, and first gear, and rarely hit the brakes coming down. i never would...
Hey Dap, your M37 is an inspiration to all of us non-purist M37 (and MV's in general) owners everywhere! awesome truck. much nicer than i ever plan on making mine, but it has alot of the future upgrades id like to do. did you use the Ugly Truckling conversion for your disc brake set-up? and is...
dont take my previous post the wrong way. the AT is great tire in almost every thing from sand to snow to lose dirt to slickrock... but in mud they suck. but for a truck that isnt heavily offroaded in wet conditions, they are a great way to go... but i live in ohio, and we can find nasty mud in...
Btw, i think you just found out why those BFG's are known as Mall Terrains... i had to find that out the hard way a few times on my old '78 Power Wagon... good tire, as long as they dont even smell mud close by...
this looks like the perfect reason to get a big liftkit, and big ol' nasty mudders!! and a winch... anything you can do thatll justify those mods is a worthwhile experince !!
TVGuy showed the same ones i meant, but let me look in my Box O' Goodies that came with the truck, and see what i can find. i think i may have seen some short straps in there before, but not sure. i'll let you know.
hey Tom, are these the straps that are attached to the inside wall? i know i have at least four, i believe, possibly more in the box of parts that came with my truck. and they will prob be coming out of there. currently one is used as a handy spot to hang my machet:mrgreen:. i have either 3 or...
if TVGuy doesnt have them, i may also... do you have any of them you can take a pic if? im selling most of the items out of the box, so let me know if theres anything else you may need.
that M1010 looks great, mike!! been trying to decide what wheels to go with on mine. i plan on lifting it tho, and going 36-39" tires. i did pick up an old school set of aluminum wagon wheels with 33"s for too good of a price to pass up, but im worried that as heavy as these trucks are, i may be...
I have an M1010, and it was bought mainly to be used as an offroad camper/tow vehicle for my M37 offroad truck... it has plenty of room for sleeping, thats for sure, has a/c, although im removing mine since im going to be doing the 12v conversion... it is about the size of the F250 you...
no prob, glad they had one for you. its the first place i check when im looking for anything MV related. been wandering that yard for about 18yrs or so now. wish id grabbed some of the trucks that ive seen there over the years. the had a 2-dr 60's-70's i think Jeep Cherokee Cheif panel delivery...
check up at Sam Winers in Mogadore area... its probably your best bet around here... im just over in Barberton, let me know if you need help with anything.
just swap in some junk glowplugs, and drive as soon as you start the truck on a cold morning... my M1010 had a similar effect to what your looking for before i tuned it up... hehehe...
i was looking at those pics, and thought that area looked familiar, but figured that it just looked like every other place... then i read where it was... i spent 3 1/2yrs in Simi, and used to bomb around in that area in my 92 Bronco... did you know there were 2 or 3 nuclear reactor meltdowns...
definately keep us posted on your progress, ive got a lead on an old 6.2 Chevy 1ton i was going to get for parts for my M1010, and keep the axles for the M37, or just to have around just in case. and if you havent, be sure to check out the 4Wheel n Offroads Dumpster project. good stuff!!
good score, and welcome to the support group... Im Ryan, and Im an O.D. addict... btw, thats my kinda M.V., solid enough to go have fun in, but far enough from original condition to go have fun in !![thumbzup] thats how my 67 M37 is, although yours appears to be in better shape(gotta love the...
