    Starter ran off on me

Yep, If you want to change the relay type, just use the old relay as a plug and relocate the new relay to the other end of that mounting surface. This way you don't hack the wiring harness. I took my old relay and removed the shell and old relay parts. Drilled a hole in the shell and put a...

If you make it any nicer, you will have to replace the body with a transparent one.

    M1009 wont start

Like he said, do NOT use swellmans. Read some of the threads on swollen plugs and you will understand. Use the AC60G's.

Post 228 pic 7 (DSCF5468.jpg) Is it me or just a picture artifact. It looks like rust on top of the bracket. Not being critical of your magnificent work, just trying to help. Painting the lines blue really helped to see what was done and how it is laid out. Your work is truly inspiring!

Mr. Firefox. See the black seals? See Rick paint. Rick don't paint rubbers or trim. EVER. I didn"t think you would. That is why the original question. I couldn't imagine you making any mistakes.......well, maybe a little one.... Keep up the outstanding work!

Thanks for the clarification! I figured something wasn't as it appeared. I couldn't tell if it was just paint on the weather striping or tape in that picture. I knew there would be a logical explanation for whatever you did. I have complete faith in the quality of your work!

You painted the doors over the weather striping?

    Glow plug card

I would look for a plug or maybe a broken off sensor on the driver side rear head. It may be that the previous owner couldn't extract the old sensor and then got the wrong sensor and tried to mount it in the passenger side head. I cant imagine anyone buying a head that was different from the...

24volt circuit in CUCV fuse block

This is in response to woody127s statement below. Firefox: don't think so since according to manual, the fuse box(under dash) is 12 volt only. Again the radio will come on, but no sound. It finds the strong radio signals, so I'm not sure why.

24volt circuit in CUCV fuse block

Some one posted this a while ago but I lost the link to the poster. Default CUCV Fuse Box Layout There are some errors in the TM diagram for the CUCV fusebox. I will attempt to point them out as I find them Here is a "clean" fuse box with all the proper fuses and labels...

Assuming it is a 12 volt radio, is it possible that you used one of the 24volt outputs on the fuse block?

    Glow plug card

I stand corrected about the two little boxes.I now know there are supposed to be three and the third is larger. Sorry if this wasted your time.

    Glow plug card

The reason I asked about the size is that that second little box you found may actually be the glow plug box. As far as I know, there is only supposed to be two little boxes under there. One for the glow plug card and the other for the tach buffer. Look in the other little box and tell us what...

Measure the size of your glow plug card and report back. You may have the wrong card.

    M1009 - Fuel delivery problem?

This might help eliminate the tank and hoses as the problem: Get a long length of fuel hose and a clean fuel can. attach one end to the inlet to the filter and the other end in the fuel can. Make sure everything is secure, since you will probably need to locate the can inside the cab with the...

    M1009 fuel contamination

Another possability is that it is coming from the source. Get a clean fuel can and fill it from the usual gas station, then transfer it to another container through a filter and check. A long time ago someone posted a warning about fuel getting contaminated when you filled up close to the point...

    M1009 fuel contamination

Just to be sure, take some tape and wrap some around the fuel cap. Just enough so you can tell if someone is messing with you. I'd hate to think someone would do this, but it happens. When you installed the new tank, did you reuse any of the components from the old tank. Like old fill line or...
