    Replaced Steering Knuckle Boots

Depends on what boot you use. I bought some that were imported and they fell apart after a year! I hear the silicone boots are better. Not looking forward to doing it all over again

    tire bolts not coming off

Like Evil said make sure your turning them the right way. My truck had hubs swapped side to side, look at the threads or marking on the studs. You also need to make sure you have an impact with enough torque for the job.

    2012 louisiana steel soldiers rally

I'll start buying hot dogs and chili. I can come over the weekend before if you need help setting up and drop them off. The Young Marines have a Car wash from 10 till 2 Saturday and I will plan coming after that. As far as the Shirts, I liked the 2009 and 2010 shirts felt better, they were...

    Welding with ear protection?

Thanks for the heads up! I don't weld that much, but as I get older I appreciate knowing about more ways to save my senses. I remember welding in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops when I was in my teens and early twenties. That was before I realized I wasn't Invincible!

    Extended Cab Deuce (photos)

You need to go look at his album to see all the build photos. I have to go to bed for now, but I'm going to finish tomorrow.

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

In our Parish(County for those outside of Louisiana), They got more restrictive on vehicle emissions and require a vehicle emission check for inspection that the surrounding parishes don't have, because some EPA monitoring sites were showing higher emissions in our area. That's how they forced...

disposable spray gun for painting your vinyl

When I was a teenager, we used to paint cars for friends and friends of friends. I started with an old Bink's and DeVibiss that I had to take apart and clean every piece between paint jobs. I remember when I got my first imported ASTRO paint gun from the local paint store for $40 and it sprayed...

    Deuce not idling!!!

Mine sat for long periods with a small amount of fuel in the tank and collected moisture from condensation. Drain any moisture from the tank then primary and secondary filters. I think its time to change my filters again from non-use.

    Halftrack door Armor

I wish I had more property, I could have saved some other vehicles and parts till they went up in value. I've learned anything older than me has a value to someone. The internet makes it a little easier, but we didn't have it at the time.

    Nice Deuce!

The M35 didn't have the I-beam in the beginning, mine had much smaller round ones. looks like the Military addressed this in the late models. Makes me think there is more stress on them than the bushing can absorb. I'm sure a welder with more experience than me, with the right equipment could...

    M747 destroyed by crooks

I was thinking maybe the same thing, but the mention of a van made me think maybe not. I could have been cut to fit the getaway vehicle.

    strange "bump" when decelerating quickly

I agree with the motor mount/transmission mount theory. I'm not that familiar with that exact vehicle, but I had a 74 LWB chevy truck that had a 2pc drive shaft and support bearing in the middle and it would make that kind of noise when the rubber in the support bearing came apart.

Sorry to see that happen to you. Never underestimate the ingenuity of a crack head. They do amazing things around here too.

    Smart phone app

I would like to have a smart phone one day, but I stay about 5-6 years behind technology. its cheaper. I've just really been frustrated this holiday weekend with all of the misspelling I've seen. Is it because people are accessing the site from their phone? I have enough trouble trying to do a...
