Ignition key switch problem is what your issue is station.I know i just ran into that with my m1008. I swapped out columns and havent had a problem since.The original Cucv columns are old and probably were seriously abused.My original column was going thru ignition switches after the last one...

Did you over tighten the two 15 mm nuts under the hood on the fire wall if you did that will happen. :]if its in a bind that is a symptom it happened to me.

I would find another cab go ahead and find you a nice civiy cab. :] Then you will have all the creature comforts :]
