havent quite yet got all the details down but my plan has been to use a remote starter to control a fuel fired coolant heater, possibly with the heater set up as a standalone system so as to not drain needed battery power for cranking.
seems to me something along those lines would solve...
not too sure about cost, mostly it is just tedious. door hinges may need some shims, the striker may need moving too. if you can handle taking off the doors, from personal experience i would think you most likely can align them too [thumbzup]
1951 i think
hey we all have our problems:-D
so far looks like it mostly needs maintenance type stuff and possibly one of the canvases. at this point i am planning on getting it usable by wheat time next year. beyond that we will have to see. storage is the main issue.
the old Cadillac...
here is a pic of my 08 getting ready to tow home a JD 12a combine that had been setting in the barn behind it for about the last forty years. greased the hubs, aired up the tires and drove the 40 mi home. (more pics tomorrow, ran out of light)
Anybody else have this 'other' green...
reply to an earlier post, i went to penn tech for heavy equipment 01-04 (couldn't schedule as my classes in 2 years) great program just a reminder for anyone you will get out of it what you put into it.
back to topic dang i wish i was closeraua , 50 mph for 300 mi = not so much fun
weren't the civy versions available with the cummins?
if fuel economy were not a concern and off road ability was, personally i would stay with a gas engine to keep some weight off the nose:driver:
