    Maintenance - it never ends..........

If I speed more time working on just maintenance than enjoying driving it the it's time to sell it and find another hobby, These aren't helicopters you shouldn't be spending 4 hours working on it for every 1 you fly. So long as it is serviced like I do my cars and motor cycle it should be fine...

You guys make me feel sooo bad . I just go out to try and find things wrong on my 5 ton just so I can play with it :) OK So once and a while I do but, most of the time I just ride and grin about it. I drove my step-son to a paint ball party Saturday and almost had to stay the whole time just...

    Anyone repaired a radiator?

Now this comes from a guy who really hates to have someone do anything he could have done himself . But under this circumstance I would leave it to the pros. It's not much of a secret that the long life of any motor is to keep it well lubricated, good clean fuel and the most important of all...

    Getting Ready For Paint

That make sense and to tell you the truth I never use a paint and primer together. In all my years of painting I was taught to prime then paint. As stated all the primer does is to correct in some cases if you use the sand-able kind or to provide a more ply able surface for the final finish...

New guy here, St Petersburg, FL

The greatest thing to avoid are trucks with no titles. In some states it is the greatest deal breaker at any price. Parts for these trucks are plentiful so it would be a matter of price verses condition. I know in many cases it is best to just buy one in the best condition you can. In the long...

    Getting Ready For Paint

Well I may be next if I ever have time to work on mine so I will be following this with great interest. I have to ask why no primer? I will not be doing much sanding on mine, it doesn't need much . I will how ever use a self etching primer to make sure of the proper bonding surface. I paint...

    Painted the M1009 (Behr paint)

Like the man said just give it some time and see what happens. I didn't realize it was still that cool where you painted it. You may want to try it again in the optimal 70 degree range and not with so much moister in the air. There are many trucks on here that were painted with the same paints...

    M923 on fire

I am so sorry for your loss. Maybe it's the paranoid side of me but, It sat for three months and then poof? I find it hard to believe that it was a short. Most shorts will drain the battery and or blow fusses and or breakers but, smolder for three months I find hard to believe . Not to start...
