I like you have a 5ton but I always had my sights set on a M35a2 also good luck on solving the problems . To tell you the truth the main reason I went with the 5 ton was because of it's reliability .The Deuce's seemed to always have issues . Good luck and keep on taking pictures and letting us...

State Farm Insurance & M923 info needed

Like it has already been said every state has it's own set of problems your best bet is to find a carrier that is more defined to these trucks . Progressive is one also gulf way and if you have a garage on your own property American modern of any of the specialty insurance companies will cover...

    Extreme RV from M36a2

if you want to preserve the wood look then you may want to use a sanding sealer and the use a low luster varnish or lacquer . either one can be sprayed just wear a mask or your going on a trip you don't want. I would stay away from polyurethane be ause of the drying time.

    I am mad big time!!!

Look the reason most of this stuff is not allowed out of the country is due to the fact if the crap hits the fan our Gov can and will come and take our toys back. The Gov has a little known rite to commandeer any and all vehicles they need to use in an emergency so if you think GL has an under...

Gave my M923A2 a fresh paint job...

You did a great job and you should be proud of your work. I am starting to wonder if we will ever have a week were it doesn't rain every other day so I can find time to work on mine. I wanted to wait until summer but, now it looks like fall before I will get a chance to paint mine..........

    I am mad big time!!!

A common problem at times and from what I was told by GL the Gov has the right up to and even after the sale to pull or cancel ANY event. GL makes their money by selling these items they may move them around where they bring a higher price but , they still need to sell them to make money. Look...

    deuce / 6x6 learning....

For 10,000 dollars all I can say is 5 TON . There isn't a Deuce out there I would pay that kind of money for unless it was just driven off the assembly line and moth balled the same day with the original warranty still valid ................

British Army mastiff (copy of our Cougar MRAP) defeated by Taliban in Afghanistan

Well the the fact that people getting blown to pieces isn't really news in any war. It doesn't take rocket science to blow crap up just a lot of explosives. It was said best by Einstein when he wrote for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The fact that our guys and gals...

    Door reassembly

I had to pull the door panels and lube the components just to be able move the darn things. The guys at the motor pool have a line of rivets on the door just to hold the passengers door window in. I don't like to bad mouth our guys but, I have to buy a new door or rip out everything ,repair the...

Can super single tires be replaced with 11R22.5 civilian tires?

I for one don't like super Singles for hauling any kind of weight. I have to go with the tried and true redundancy of Duels. Now for if the tires you have will fit just ask a local tire shop. If they are willing to be liable for putting them on then it's a sure bet they will work. I know it...
