They are Stewart and Stevenson's part numbers... Or since the IP is the US gov... U S Army Tank...
Well my truck is sitting and has been for awhile because I don't have any time to work on it. The evil corporation I work for isn't allowing me many days off... 2 days off in the last 30 days...
The reason I posted the link to the m810 was the part number for the ring gear seem to be the same as the lmtv ... though it may be a source for cheaper used parts. I want to get the higher ratio gears and looking for options.
I think that if the state will not take your bill of sale at the value and they value it more... the state should be willing to buy it from you for the value they say... this drives me crazy...
I believe the "P" in P41 means it a connector (Plug). there is also "TL" like on the starter TL for terminal lug. They is also "J" for connector... I believe that it jack or what the P plugs into...
A good place to start is to down load the Technical manuals.
as for the price... that depends on what you want to pay. It's an auction right? The trucks is worth the sum of the parts.
Didn't bid today... will have to wait till the next batch of M1082 shows up... Though watching today's auction I keep on being reminded how good of a deal I got even with the rust on my truck.... but anyway I digest...:)
I was going to bid on a M1082 trailer but needs an EUC... Didn't want to have a learning curve that was too steep... Looks like any LMTV after 2000 needs one from what I can tell. I could be wrong though.
I see that some LMTVs need an end use certificate... Not having to deal with them in the past how do they work? and who here has gone through the process? Also is this something new?
