I wander if I can strip enough off to get the weight down to 16,000. It will save on my registration fees... Is there a 1000 pounds with the spare, troop seats, bed sides, lifting attachments. Heck not having 6TL is a huge savings... :-D
Not too easy... and I don't think the serial number will help too much. Look for the unit numbers on the truck. They are on the front and back of the truck. I was fortunate to have a little bit of info on my truck. It form the Washington National Guard. It was in Kuwait and was shipped back to...
There has been a few sold on ebay in the past. Again if it was me I'd check with NV555... But YMMV... You can sell your WTEC II controller as I believe they bring more money. I could be wrong though.
here is the WTEC iii connector and I believe all of the WTEC iii controllers use the same connector. Or post a picture of your wire bundle of your dash.

GPS will fluctuate a tad depending on atmospheric conditions and other things. The speedo in the truck counts pluses. I would believe that the GPS is flutuation more than the speedo. The best thing to do is use the speedo check that you see along the highway to see how bad your speedo is...
I'd like to get my hands on a "bad" ECU with a dead battery. I think this is the replacement battery here. You would need to get a copy of the software before the battery went dead. I believe this can be done. With the amount of A1 with 3216s I think this may have some merit.
I took my spare off and I don't have the safety chain (I have the lifting chain). From my understanding this is a common missing item. Can someone post a picture of the type of hooks that are used? I can make one up but want to know what was used from the factory or official replacement. Also...
I believe you will need a transmission controller at the least. The VIM of the trans controller has part of the starting circuit in it. If it's missing the instrument cluster this may be a problem. You may be able to jumper out the starting circuit of the VIM if you know how to read the wiring...
Um... no... ATF has always had friction modifiers... It's not to "enhance" friction but modify it... Case in point... The LMTV is spect with 15W40 engine oil... shifts like a mule kicking your butt... Use ATE and this smooths out the shifts... That is why ATF is ATF... ATE is a hydraulic oil...
Remember there is also a gear reduction at the hubs also... I believe the 307 is the ring gear and not the final to the wheels after the geared hubs...
