I put a new modulator in my th400 but i put an adjustable one.

sure the vrv is on the Injection Pump on the left hand side. It has to rubber hoses leading off it one to the vacuum pump and one to the metal line running to the transmission. some times the rubber part on the vrv goes bad if so just remove the rubber block and plug the lines in to the pump...

hmm you sure its the transmission and not the vacuum pump ? nothing is wrong with a HD th400. me and combat jump just rebuilt his in his garage for around 500 to 600 bucks. its very doable if you have time and are willing to try.

If your worried either convert to a 205 or a 241 with a SYE kit the 241 bolts right up to a 208 adapter

Did you read the TOA when you joined up? You can't list ebay auctions in posts. also if you can use a ford 208 parts people on pirate would have done it.
