On wednesday needed to jumpstart the M36, because of the cold, just not enough juice in the batteries.
After a few minutes of idling, pulled the throttle to 1100 rpm and went inside for a drink.
Came back, parked her a bit better and went home.
Came back this sunday, to do a check and a drive...
Brilliant solution Swiss!
In other news: Used my M1028 and jumper cables to start the M36 up on wednesday.
Did not need to use them today, The M36 fired up like normal :-)
Jup, put my M36a2 up for sale.
It's because I don't get to drive it so often, my M1028 takes me anywhere I want.
Also saving up for another (OD green) toy, but a lot smaller, easier maintenance and locally produced.
Also the Deuce is at a storage lot, I must make an appointment to get it an...
Went to take pictures for the ad, so tried to start, but the batteries did not have enough juice in them.
So took the pictures anyway, but in a more confined area. Made the ad and put it up for sale.
Again, did absolutey nothing, well, went to pay the rent for the storage.
When the weather keeps good, I am going to the storage to make some pictures and put it up for sale. (again)
Did some fluid checks and tried to figure out why my visor lights didn't work anymore..
Turned out the ground wire vibrated loose, so after some fiddling and some cursing I manage to connect to ground and all was well.
I am using the ground point in the cab, behind the dash, above the parking...
Connected the moonvisor today. Looks nice with those orange lights on top.
Wired them through a separate switch, so I can switch them when I like to.
Edit: Made a picture when it is more dark outside.
Yesterday I drove to a friend, to get my moonvisor wired, but after a few problems with his own daily driver and a portion of hail, we decided to call it a day and go home.
The new to me visco clutch works good. It seems the old one never worked.
Driving lights, like these LEDs I had in my headlights.
The light that came out the lens was terrible in my opinion, so put the original lights back in.
Finally got my visco clutch and put it on.
Now the M1028 is ready for driving action. :driver:
Went for orange marker/flasher lights, but the auto store only had white.
Removed one of the BO lights in the front bumper, to examin them and to know how they work.
Turned out there is a...
Tried to replace the visco clutch for the fan, cause it is broken and wobbly.
Got a new (used) clutch at a parts store a few days ago, guess what, it doesn't fit..
The bolts on the clutch are to big for the fan and the end that goes on the engine is to small..
They told me it was for a diesel...
Someone please keep reminding me: Never do business with Belgians...
They came to look, had me start her up and drive it 5 metres back..
After that, walking around 26 times talking trash about the looks and state, told me they were looking for a clean restored one.
I said: Never said it was...
I also made an civy trailer adapter, because my old 7 wire plug did not work anymore.
This was because of my offroading a few weeks back. So disconnected the whole 7 wire plug.
From a buddy I got an old trailer plug with a length of cable on it and a 7wire civy plug.
Them is was only a matter...
I put my M36a2 up for sale
The reason is I don't drive it anymore, due to lack of time and so on.
Another reason is that I am going to save up for another toy.
All in all it is with mixed feelings....
