Nice, all those winning trucks [thumbzup]
I know of a Van owner who went complaining to the organisation, because he did not win any prize on that particular event, talk about ego..
the Van is a real showpiece, but not my cup of tea. Everybody needs a chance to win.
Went to an offroad event, did not get stuck, did have a great time..
Only problem was the playgrounds in the route were too small for my big pickup.
These were designed for the little suzuki samurai toy cars..
Went to a car meet with my almost new to me M101 trailer.
And the A-team got busted at the car meet..
Not really military, but who cares? It's the A-team van.
Tackled the problem with my aftermarket winch today.
The previous owner installed it, but it never worked.
After a lot of searching, I found out the relais were not grounded..
So grounded them. After that, the relais were working, but not the winch..
The voltage was a bit low, so started...
Yesterday drove around a lot and today bought me another M101a2.
Just needed to put on the original trailerplug , because the trailer lights were modified to the euro system.
Went to a car meeting in Belgium. Saw a lot of nice stuff and even a M35a2c.
On the trip home we started discussing if the transfercase can be modded in the following way:
Current is: 2H-4H-N-4L. Would it be possible to mod the transfercase to this: 2H-4H-N-2ExtraHigh?
For lower RPM's...
Well, I got my m1028 to a shop and I got to help on a major maintenance job.
New airfilter, motoroil and oilfilter, tranny filter and fluid, changed front diff oil, it was gray, filled up the rear diff.
Also a new oil seal and new fluid in the transfercase, it was leaking.
Last, but not least...
Nope, cruising speeds was in 2WD.
On site in the UK I needed 4WD.
when shifter is in the 4WD position it slips 3 mm back and I lose 4WD.
Got another problem now, the transfercase started leaking a bit.. color is red and smells like ATF.
Leak is at the output shaft for the Front axle. Not much...
I do not believe it is the shift fork, but the linkage.
When shifting to 4wd, the indicator light goes on very late and i feel the shift only 2 millimetres from the 4wd locking position.
Took my M1028 to the UK. Performed like it should, and used not a single drop of oil on the whole trip.
Cruising speed about 52-53 mph.
Only thing is, keeps slipping out out 4wd, maybe I should adjust the linkage?
Finished and ready for The War and Peace Revival.. Going to paint it over there..
Do not mind the mess, cleaned it out today. Some packing to do and off I go.
My pintle hook is slightly turned a bit, but won't budge, even with the help of a pipe..
Drove my M36a2 to a car meet. Heard and felt a squeeking noise coming from the passenger side, but it went away after a few miles.
Guess it was from standing for 3 or 4 months.
Also remember the starting when hot issue? Now it was cooler outside, she started up nicely after an hour of sitting...
