I saw about 6 of these (Not sure on the bed) but the M-35 looking vehicle going South on I-35 through Oklahoma City a couple days ago. They looked just like that and had the luggage rack looking thing on top. All were on a commercial 18 wheeler flat bed with an OD colored Land Rover looking...
How is the Cammo pattern applied to the vinyl cargo covers? Is it just paint?
I have one solid green one and one that looks like it is just faded paint. Has anyone painted these covers and had good luck with it sticking?
Not sure if BO modes disables horn circuit, but know for sure lead is hot in off position. Heater fan also runs since its tied into the same circuit. If horn doesn't work in BO mode then my heater doesn't either. I agree it makes since for it not to work in BO but I think it does.
Actually, there is a 24 v hot wire at the horn solenoid all the time regardless of any switch location. That is, if it is wired correctly and connections are good. Both leads are mark 25 if I remember correctly, you have to use a voltmeter to figure our which one is hot.
The horn button just...
Jim,
That is interesting. I just finished putting 11x20's on mine and took it for a spin with the GPS. It top out at 68 MPH also!:-D My top with 9x20s was about 59 MPH. See you next week.
UPDATE!!!!!: I had three tires remaining that had the valve stems the wrong way, 1 front and 2 inner backs. I had intended to change the front before a test drive but fogot. So, after a short 10 mile run I had a flat on the front tire!!!
WARNING: THE VALVE STEM WILL HIT THE...
For me, I know the left side is left hand thread but it never fails on that first lug nut on the left side. I thighten the crap out of it until the lightbulb comes on. "Okay dummy, it's a left hand thread". Everytime!:oops::-D
If you're talking about that copper line coming up from the firewall, that is a vent line coming from the air-pack and master cylinder. It is bent over and usually has a vent cap on the end of it like the axles have. This was a mod to seperate the air-pack/MC vent line from the fuel tank vent...
Well, I was so proud of myself because I had demounted and remounted 5 of my duece tires. I was still alive and still had all my fingers and toes. :-D I'm in the process of going from 9 x 20 to 11 x 20. Then on number five I noticed that it was sure easy to just drop the tire with valve stem...
Ten Tires,
You said you put a new fuse in and its been working ever since. Are you sure? Just because it starts making noise doesn't mean it's working. Just the motor is. If those are the parts for that pump then all it's doing is making noise. I have been told that a duece will run fine...
Those plates are from the bottom of your "In-tank" pump. You will need to pull it and check/repair it. Not sure what that filter is or its purpose. Just know it's not suppose to be in there!
Your internal pump "in-tank" probably doen't work, unless those parts are from a previous pump. Do a...
What happened to the original subject on this? "Tank in AR" I guess it didn't pan out? Kinda like the old "WWII Jeep still in a box" story, huh?
Don't get me wrong, the thing in the yellow above is nice to look at!:-D APC too!:-D
You can try the guy at Binger, sometimes he is right on the price. Better if you visit with him in person. Buzz Brown 405-929-0065 cell/405-656-9066 shop
I would check on www.g503.com Don't get me wrong, SS is a great website but G503 seem to be geared more to WWII Jeeps. Kinda sounds like an early production Ford GPW on An MB Frame, but then again it could be tossed salad. I know 48 isn't a production year for the GPW. Good Luck.:-D
This thread has been very helpful to me. I plan on changing my thermostat as soon as the weather allows. Thanks to everyone.:-D
As for the hoses, are they common sizes that can be picked-up at NAPA also?
