    July 4th Parade - Edmond, OK 2009

UPDATE: I just recieved a post card from the LibertyFest Parade Committee, it says our application has been "accepted as submitted". Just to let everyone know, I put us down for 10-14 vehicles and only submitted my proof of insurance. However, I did write a note saying that each vehicle will...

    WTF!? Freeze plugs popping out.

Well those are different than the ones I installed. Maybe because I haven't changed any modern ones. Mine were on a WWII Jeep engine. :-D I have been looking for pictures on how to the install them or what they look like but no luck. There was no lip on them, kinda like a plate.

    WTF!? Freeze plugs popping out.

I must not understand how the freeze plug works on the duece. On the ones I have installed, (all gasoline engines) the concave freeze plug fits into the hole and against a ridge to prevent it from going iside the block. Then you take some type of drive to the center of the plug to mash it...

    WTF!? Freeze plugs popping out.

My concern is your description on how you installed them "Tapped them in with a socket". I hope you followed up with "knocking the crap out of them in the center with a drift'??? :-D I would say they were not installed correctly, especially if they popped out.

Just wondering if it holds it's air pressure for a month? :-D

    Put on my cargo cover

Not to be a ball-buster, but it looks like you need to redo the the front flaps. I don't know how to describe it, but you put one fold towards the front then wrap the second fold around it facing to the rear. The intent is to not catch wind. Hope this helps.:-D

    Tach Cable, 2nd Try.

Ugg, I just put a new tach cable on my duece and had concerns after seeing your original post. My duece has a clamp just above where the cable mounts to the block. Does yours have this? It is my opinion that this clamp would keep the cable from coming out of its socket even if the nut is totally...

Need Help Identifying plug just before transmission

That is normal, just like it is. The plug on the passenger side of the hole (Storage Position), goes in the hole when you do water crossings (fording).

    have you ever?

Good looking truck! Looks like someone has scrambled your instrument panel around. Oil pressure and Fuel gauge are swapped and Battery is swapped with air pressure. Maybe someone liked it that way? :-D

    master cylinder replacement question

Which TM are you looking at? I just looked in TM 9-2320-361-24-1 WP 0170 00 and I'm not sure what gaskets there would be. Maybe the copper washers, which you can get some at NAPA.

    Air-O-Matic Question

ARYankee: Like I have always been told, "The only dumb question is the one not asked!". 6 months ago, I was wondering the same thing. :-D It is an add-on power steering kit for the deuce. Some would aurgue on the "power" part, but anything helps. :-D

    Air-O-Matic Question

Thanks for the insight on how to install the fitting. That was my next question. They are very tight. This is one of the GL kits.

    Air-O-Matic Question

Thanks for the help guys! So what kind of pressure can I expect in this system? I know it shuts down if below 60psi, but it has a regulator. What is the top-end psi? I keep thinking 120psi will shoot those things right off. :-D

    Air-O-Matic Question

I just picked up my Air-O-Matic kit today for my Deuce and I decided to do an inventory of it. It seems to be all there but the air hose is suppose to be cut into 3 lengths and connectors placed on the ends. The pictures show the hose and connectors. Nothing calls for any type of clamp to go on...

    Practical uses for a Deuce

Well in addition to all the fun stuff mentioned above. I convinced the wife I could save her tons of money by hauling her flowerbed materials; decorative rocks, bulk mulch, dirt, ect. To date, I think I have save $2.:-D But I got my toy!:-D:-D Actually, toys. I'm suppose to sell the second...
