Can anyone help me with the bumper marking / unit ID for a M1009 I won at Ft. Meade? 53 HTC 206 CSB these were on the left bumpers, So looks like a unit ID. Any idea where this trucks may have come from?

I will sent some picks, truck may still be listed on GL site. event#3338, lot# 3027, like it said I had a chance to look this one over, a few minor dings, engine turned over, ties new, seats no rips, has a small chip in windshield. I plan to using a tow strap, since Ft. Meade is only 5miles away.

Ist time owner of a M1009 I won from GL at Ft. Meade, any suggestions to maintenance checks when I get it home? What are the first things I need to checks out, replace, look out for ???

Anyone have any idea what a windsheild would cost for a M1009, won one at Meade today, it has a small 3" crack in the windshield? Should I look for a new one or used?? Cost???

Nice looking photos, I could tow it off GLs yard, wait til traffic is gone and use the tow strap idea. Do I leave the hubs unlocked and transmission in netural while towing with a strap?

I have a pintle hitch on the duce, the PU also has one but its a civilian style, does the same tow bar for a duce work with the CUCV? Or is there a smaller version of tow bar?

Not that far up the road in Jessup. You mentioned a dolly, is there a larger model I could rent that will accomadate a blazer? U Haul models are too small.

Plan on moving a M1009 about 6 miles, can I use a U Haul car dolly and a 3/4 ton PU to drive the short distance home? Most of the roads are not posted over 50 MPH. The info on the dolly says max load 3900lbs, the 1009 weight is about 5200. Unlock hubs, transmission in netural??? What do you think??

RE: M105 / S250 combo I did the same it works fine in a 105 trailer. Just have to get around the. wheel wells.

How can I tell if my 1970 Kaiser M35A2 has a complete engine overhaul, has 34,000 miles w 1350 hrs. Looking into the vaules it looks real clean. several depot tags are on parts of the engine, anyway to tell if complete overhaul war done . Tach and speedometer look orginial.

Where can I find detailed instruction on installing a single convoy light on my M35a duce? Does the convoy kit come with everything needed, wires, switch...?? Where is the best place to purchase a complete light kit? Thanks, Randy
