AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

Nice it is. Reasonable price too (assuming it doesn't go much higher in price).

    New m1070

    Its a beauty!

AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

Sounds a lot like a success story. I'd love to have those results. What does a RRAD rebuild include?

AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

This is probably the only thing holding me back right now. I spend a lot of time outdoors and mainly in Nevada lately. People do not like the gov here. When people approach me while in the country (hunters, shooters & people that think they own the land) and they end up getting butt-hurt...

    3 batteries

I don't know about the 5-ton or 24 volt system, but the batteries need juice to stay good long-term. I have a practice to either use a battery tender on 24/7 or start the vehicle and let it run for a while once a week. If the batteries you have shorted out, maybe there is some other problem...

AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

Doesn't sound too bad. I'm looking to learn from other peoples experiences. What happened to the fuel line?

AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

I'm looking to get a M934A2 when I grow up. That truck or the smaller LMTV van truck. The M934 is big and mean. What repairs have you done on yours?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Bad ass. Love that thing. What price are you hoping to get out of it?

Starter Damage Pic, Cranking Longer Than 30 Seconds

Nice example of what not to do :D

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

Its a nice truck and I'd love to have one (as well as property way out in the boonies :D). It looks like a massive, mean and well-lubed machine.

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

That first pic shows how incredibly massive that truck is. Seeing a person stand on the side of it like that helps set the right perspective. Was your truck stuck/blocked in those first 3 pics? That looks like terrain I should steer away from while alone in the wild. Do you think with the...

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

The pic uploader is a bit primitive and I spun trying to upload my pics too. The trick is after you select the images to upload, click on the text "Upload File(s)" to invoke the action. That text is actually a button, but it doesn't look like it and it just looks like informational text. I...

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

What was it like for you to drive the terrain in El Paso aside from the thorny scrub? In the pictures attached, I walked out to the first hill on the left and it seemed like a big truck could handle that.

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

Good things to know. So when you are 4byin', have an idea where the air dryer is to prevent obstacles from hitting it, do the maintenance ahead of time and use your head when out there. Thanks for that. Louisiana sounds rough! To give more context about what I'm asking about, here are some pics...

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

NFW do I want to deal with busted torque rods or air lines. Are the air lines left in the open vulnerable? How are the air lines and torque rods getting damaged?

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

Excellent example. I hadn't thought of the firefighter scenario. The electric company (and internet/fiber) has big ass trucks in the country too, but they typically drive on rough (mostly graded) roads. Baja ala Ford Raptor style is out of the question :D Slow and easy is the name of the game...

Driving Cross Country. Have you done it?

I have the dream to camp out in the wild in the USA. Nevada has been a top spot with the huge amounts of public land, less people and awesome views in the country. I had no idea it was this awesome. But dispersed camping has been limited to driving on roads within the country. Driving a 5-Ton...

    M939 tire clearance?

What size are the 395 tires converted to the same unit of measurement as the 14's? I'm confused on how to differentiate the sizes.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Nice truck. I like how your wheels are huge. They fill out the wheel wells nicely. Just started looking at the these trucks as an M934A2 alternative. I want the manual and dislike the "don't go into reverse in low-range" problem. Can't afford that mistake out in the boonies several hundred miles...

My Build Thread: M909 Recreational Vehicle

There are many days I'd like to do that. I could fit a nice monitor and keyboard on that desk :D
